So his DWI charges have been dropped. I want to know from ISH's resident experts on privilege on what they think of this.
Is this a case of White privilege? Or Liberal privilege?
Discuss.

Details on the case would be needed to form an educated opinion. The wealth to afford a great lawyer' fame (maybe the judge was a fan) could be a factor and race could also be a factor that lead to leniency. But it could also be going easy in someone with no real record. Political affiliation may be a factor but only if the judge has similar politics and is aware of what his are. Most likely if this is about privilege it's related to wealth and fame.

Did you read the case? He was at an event sitting on his motorcycle, and a fan came up to him and offered him a shot of tequila. He took it and a cop saw him do it. He blew a .02 which is way, way, way below the legal limit of .08 in NJ.
So they were total bullshit charges from the start. Worst he should've got hit with is open container, but thats only a 500 dollar ticket where as DWI funds the cops and MVC by the many thousands. So the cops were just running business as usual looking for that sale.

Perhaps the individual cop knew Springsteen's politics, and wanted to show him what Big Gov really looks like up close, instead of how it looks being forced onto other people from the safety of a well-connected ivory tower.
In which case that would be pretty hilarious.

Listen pal, the man was drunker than a skunk and could have killed himself, or worse, killed someone else. This is no time for partisan opinions just because you listen to the Boss on your way to the factory every day.

Don't care for his politics, but I got to see the dude once in his driveway. One of my college friends actually lived in the same neighborhood as him in newport coast growing up and said that he had a bunch of awesome memorabilia in his house. Wish I would have met him when I saw him but I can understand wanting privacy on one's property.

He now needs to revoke his privilege and volunteer himself to be jailed.
