I think the game has outgrown him, he has the later quickness of Larry Bird, so he cant really get a shot off in this jump shooting era of the NBA.

Is Cousins done as an NBA player?

He should join Team USA with IT & Joe Johnson

Yea I guess he can join a team for inside defense and rebounds huh.

A few years ago they said he was the best center

Whoever said that must've been looking at a stat page that didn't include fg% and turnovers.

You can mention Larry Legends name once with demarcus. Nobody likes an habitual line stepper.

He is still the most skilled big man in the league. He was never particularly fast or springy, so it doesn't matter very much that he lost athleticism. He still has finesse and strength to fall back on. The Bulls should sign him to boost their playoff bid.

that's not what a team would sign him for and you should know that

Injuries have been the main factor in his demise, not the game or the quickness.

And Larry is 64 years old, it's a tough road ahead for Cousins.

Fine, top three skilled big men with Jokic and Embiid. Jokic might is a GOAT level passer from the 5, but Cousins was the original point center back at NO and he still has the best handle and touch.

You ****ing retard, the point is his diminished athleticism does not make much difference to a guy with that skillset and way of playing.

Uhh, it clearly makes a massive difference. Maybe check his production.

Original point center? :lol

He was averaging like 4 tos a game. Nothing Cousins was doing as a passer was that special for a center. Hell there was a point center in Sacramento that did it better than him in Vlade Divac. Was Cousins even a better passing center than Brad Miller?

What was special about Cousins was his offensive versatility and his ability to put the ball on the floor

Yup, and even though he wasn't quick before he wasn't slow either. Now he literally moves like he's stuck in quick sand.

His game now is pretty much just pick-n-pops and some offensive put-backs.

If you combine this with his passing ability you get that offensive monster he was with the Pelicans. As I said his handle was outrageous for a big man.

After all the injuries he is still getting back to his best, so I expect him to become more that a pick and pop guy soon (which is something I agree with for once with lonelycunt)

It's not my fault you have an extremely low basketball iq, bud. :(

Hopefully. On the all time starting 5 for lockeroom cancers, coach killers, hot heads and overrated play.

Didn't he just have like a 23/17 game recently? Like 3 weeks ago?

Always bitched, always complained, always feeling sorry for himself. Still so crazy how Malone was fired after the one good year they had in Sacramento in the Cousins era.
The last thing he did as a meaningful part of a team was complain publicly that their extension offer wasn't good enough, then he went on his rehab year and his knees broke down even further.

Cousins would be the best center on the Celtics since Bill Russell

He was horrible in 2019 finals

What more now he's older and had more injuries recently as well

Malone was terrible his first year -- or at least in line with Keith Smart.

In 2014-2015 they had a "legendary" 9-5 start and everyone went crazy. They ended up losing 8 of their next 10 for a supremely impressive 11-13 record before he was fired.

They had injuries but it was never nothing more than a simple hot streak, driven by unsustainably high free throw counts.
