If we're ready to basically automate everything it might be feasible. Because as soon as you send people 10 grand... tons of uber drivers, grocery staff, hotel staff, landscapers, restaurant workers, bartenders etc. are all gonna go on an immediate 4-5 month vacation. Hardly anyone will be left to do those jobs.

I'm not sure what good that 10 grand will be without restaurant staff, or drivers to get people around, or gas station attendants (I guess you can still pay credit at the pump, but no picking up store items inside), or someone to change the sheets between guests at the hotels, and so on. I guess it's true a lot of the staff already doing those things are illegal and probably wouldnt get the checks.

I dunno. It seems risky, but maybe we're ready. I know driverless cars will begin being pushed soon. Maybe restaurants can pay extra to retain staff with increased biz from the stimulus. We can still reserve landscaping and hotel cleaning for illegals. Not sure who's gonna stock the shelves at the grocery store though. Unless we're ready to go full "delivery only" with driverless cars.

I guess we'll see what happens.
