Showtime was also about putting on a show - defense, leading to fast breaks, often finishing with some kind of a dunk. Nets have poor defense, and rely more on long range shooting; very different stylistically.

They are a lot more like the early 2000s Kings than the Lakers IMO. Amazing passing from most positions, a dude who is unconscious from 3, a streaky dude, and a consistent scorer...also pretty poor team defense
