Lillard lacks off-ball movement and shooting skills. Even in All-Star game where they play no defense, he does not display those skills. It's why all his 3s were off dribble while Curry's came off ball movement and finding open spots in transition.

Lillard and curry both have polished offenses its not easy to argue between the two. But curry is the better shooter. Lillard is more athletic but curry compensates by being smart and crafty. Changing the game means a lot about the basketball genius one has. There is no telling how the league would be if not for the huge influences of the past. Some players are good at following suit, others create. Curry is the best shooter of all time and ushered this new way of playing. That should mean a lot.

2015 GSW knew Curry & Klay was not going to cut it so they snatched Iguodala from Denver (the best team in the west at the time)
2016 Blew a 3-1 lead and started recruiting Kevin Durant right away
2017 KD joins and they make three straight NBA finals with him (5 straight technically for Steph)
2018 4 All stars against 2
2019 Loses as a lone man to the Raptors (without Klay, KD)
2020 Miss the playoffs
2021 May miss the playoffs again

It pissed me off so much that dame hit that game winner the other day after being thoroughly dominated for 4 quarters by Chef. I will give him this... He is clutcher than curry for sure. But curry is the much better engine and overall player. Dame has bigger balls when behind but he's a terrible defender in general and his playoff efficiency is way worse. He has nowhere near the off ball capability. Go look at the metrics. People shit on currys defense but he blows dame away and his splits are 10x better. Just another case of "special ed" OP.
