See the pattern. Euro styled players

I love unselfish basketball. And I'm a euro.

Started watching it in High school. (I'm 26.)

2010-14 - Kevin Love
2014 - 2016 - Lebron James
2016 - 2021 - Karl Anthony Towns

I vaguely knew about Kobe Bryant as a kid in the way non-tennis fans know who Federer is and non-golf fans know about Tiger Woods.
My one regret is that I didn't get into the NBA a tiny bit younger, and would have gotten to watch the 08' and 10' finals live.

First finals I ever tuned into were the Heat - Dallas finals. (Watched 2-3 Replays the day after, because they were aired late at night in Israel.)

Actually playing:
1994-97 Shaq - had his rookie card as a kid
1997-1998 - Jordan - he had become impossible to ignore esp after so many titles and space jam
1998-2000 - Shaq - Still dominating after MJ
2001 Jordan coming back
2002-2004 Iverson - "cool"
2005-2007 LeBron - local hero but eventually got tired of his pound the ball at the top of the 3 point line while 4 guys stand still
2007-2009 Duncan - learned to respect fundamentals without flash
2009-2016 Kobe - mamba mentality, really cultivates a winning attitude
2016-2018 Kyrie - Best finishing guard I've seen, despite his flat earth weirdness
2019-2021 Embiid - I like his passion for the game and my actual favorite position is center

All-time:
1994-97 Shaq - again, rookie card
1997-2001 Jordan - again, impossible to ignore
2002-2004 Iverson - again, "cool"
2005-2006 LeBron - again local hero
2006-present Wilt Chamberlain - most dominant ever, jaw dropping stats and stories - collecting footage and testimony only revealed more and more greatness
