LMA has less than a season to go on his contract and Celtics have their Trade Exception worth 28M from Gordon Hayward. Would LMA be enough for Boston to contend? They do lack an offensive minded Big that can create shots for for themselves.

Better than Olynyk
EDIT: Your post made it seem like this happened

Surely they can get more for that exception than a 35 year old semi washed Aldridge?

I would like to see more come out if it as well. If they go that route they might as well bring back Horford to defend Embiid.

No thanks. Give SAC whatever whatever number of picks they want for Harrison Barnes.

Boston is not a contender at all. Tatum/Brown/Kemba is not good enough. They need a bonafide superstar.

Not currently no but the wings are still young. Long term the prospects are good.

Well this would be terrible.
Aldridge sucks. I don’t think they’ll do this

Also I would add if they picked up Aldridge + barnes, or Jerami Grant; they could give anyone fits for those saying that they aren’t contenders
Look how they’ve played Brooklyn
Look how they’ve played clippers
Look how they’ve played LAL
They would be a pain in the ass and if they get Aldridge I assume they’re adding someone else too.

I would be interested in a LA + Jerami combination for us. Probably not possible though.

Another year of 'still young' for Boston I suppose.
Remember when OKC had KD, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka all young? How many rings they win when they waited for them to evolve?
Win now is historically always been better than trying to develop something that may never come to fruition. You can always cry about how many MORE you could have won after the first.

This. It's not even about the age now. Brown and Tatum have been in the league so many years now and still lack consistency and poise. Both still make a lot of plays that make you scratch your head.

Lol these aren’t ‘rumours’. They are just basketball blogs running ‘what if’ trade scenarios.

KD Westbrook and Harden made the Finals. If they could have been kept together when Harden exploded they would have been a dynasty. OKC is still kicking themselves over losing Harden. This is a terrible example if you are trying to argue that the Cs should blow it up.
