Especially with Wes Matthews being a giant poosy and KCP going back to pre-2020 KCP, Gasol's slow ass and Bron notably declining.

You probably live in Queens or something.

The players are being underutilized. Marcus Morris shoots 46.5% from the 3pt line but he's only getting 5 attempts per game. Why? He should be getting like 8-9 attempts on those percentages. Schroeder and Harrell were averaging almost 20 ppg last season. This season they're down to around 13-14. Kuzma was averaging 19 two seasons ago. He's down to around 11 now. This is with AD out for most of the season.

Why are players who are capable of scoring 20 ppg being so underutilized?

Lot more touches going around now

One game Kuz gets 20

Next game Harrell 20

Next game Schroder 20

THT eats

Mix in Brons + AD's 50

More scoring options, less fga per and averages drop. But mainly the rotation shared between Kuz, Trez and Schroeder skews it.

Team killer bron ball

Yes. Team killer LeBron just took a team which was in the lottery like 6 straight years to a title. Absolutely crippled the Lakers. hahahahahahahaha

These hot takes are too common in basketball tbh.

I think they will look better as the playoffs approach. There have been a few games where they shown what they are capable of and they are missing key players. Note: They were favorites to win it all not so long ago. As much as people shit on Gasol, I think he has the potential to play a huge role on the team. They had a slump last season also. Mainly a shooting slump and lack of energy. The method was to just shoot their way out of it. I think it will happen again and they are capable of excellent defense. Not saying they will win it all but it's still very possible if they get their shit together. They play down to competition often.

O strongly disagree with your take. I believe that they will not win the 2021 championship but they certainly have a shot to win it with AD on the court. They are expressing interest on barely every player that is in the market. If they could acquire andre drummond or a strong wing like buddy hield.

"Bron notably declining" is your MVP though.

MVP LeBron with the no. 1 rated defense is a legitimate contender.

Nah, it's too early to say that. As long as AD and Bran are healthy, there is always a shot.

I do think this is a worse team than the bubble Lakers. Schroder sucks and I don't trust him in a playoff series but maybe he'll get hot at the right time, who knows. Kuzma still sucks. Wes Matthews also sucks like I predicted. Harrell has been great overall but he was great last year and disappeared in the playoffs so the bench is extremely worrisome compared to last year when he had Rondo the run the show along with a Dwight who knew his role.

Regardless, Bran and AD are going to be a tough out in a 7 game series for any team. Don't underestimate greatness in the playoffs.

brooklyn, clippers and phila >>>

lebron is an underdog yet again. he better hope davis comes back and produces at a respectable, #2 level. the lakers were lucky he was healthy most of last season. rumblings are he's coming back in a few weeks though which is good news.

None of those teams can beat the Lakers in the playoffs. Especially not Philadelphia.

Remember when Lakers fans thought Gasol was still good?
