Episode One: New World Order

This show has serious potential... hope they don't f*ck this up.

Some of the action scenes are piss poor, but still loving the story.

Truth: Red, White & Black is a seven-issue comic book limited series written by Robert Morales, drawn by Kyle Baker and published by Marvel Comics. The series focuses on Isaiah Bradley, one of 300 African American soldiers experimented on by the US Army in an attempt to create super soldiers.

Set in the Marvel Universe, the series takes the Tuskegee Experiments as inspiration for a tale that re-examines the history of the super-soldier serum that created Captain America.[2] Beginning in 1942, the series follows a regiment of black soldiers who are forced to act as test subjects in a program that would become the prototype for the formula used to turn Steve Rogers into Captain America. The experiments lead to mutation and death, until only one remains: Isaiah Bradley.

i was waiting for something to happen that would hook me into the show. not really a big MCU fan though. i think they really watered down the universe by giving everyone an ability.

I liked WandaVision a lot personally. Mostly beucase it gives you backstory on how Wanda and Vision fell in love...which isn't becuase she's part of the Mind Stone, but more or less they are opposites that attract as well. Plus #WhiteVision was nice.

https://www.picclickimg.com/d/l400/pict/265106467843_/Marvel-Comics-The-Mighty-Thor-Vol-1.jpg

The Time Variance Authority (or TVA) is a fictional organization, a group of timeline monitors appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They first appeared in Thor vol. 1 #372 (October 1986).

The TVA claims responsibility for monitoring the multiverse and can prune timelines if they're deemed too dangerous to exist. They also take action to prevent other beings from altering the past or future. They were first seen allowing Justice Peace, a lawman from the future, to travel to the 20th century in order to stop the killer Zaniac. Peace is able to succeed in his mission thanks to the assistance of Thor.[1]

Despite their claims, the TVA's influence over time is not absolute. The scope of their influence is bordered by Alioth in the distant past as well as Kang the Conqueror, the Delubric Consortium, and Revelation at different eras throughout the timescape.[2] There have also been numerous incidents of time travel or reality tampering where the TVA has failed to interfere.

At the End of Time, the last Director of the TVA creates the Time Keepers, the last three beings who exist in the remaining timeline in the universe; however this process also ends up creating the Time Twisters, a trio of beings who imperiled all realities until stopped by Thor and other members of the Avengers.

The TVA are next seen utilizing the law-firm that She-Hulk works for on several instances. Jurors for cases are plucked from time soon before they actually die, minimizing the effects on the time stream. This also establishes the tendencies for time-travelers to go through genetic scrambling, also to minimize the effect on the time-stream. Notably, the scrambling tends to cause similar appearances among various males who undergo the process. A defendant who is found guilty in one of these trials is executed with a weapon called the Retroactive Cannon, or Ret Can, which erases the victim, deleting their existence from the universe by undoing their birth and entire history.

One of the best episodes of the series. It sucks Battlestar Died. I don't blame John Walker for killing that Terrorist. And it's hinted he's going to take the serum and become a super soldier

2 episodes left.... Great Show, looking very forward to seeing how this thing ends.

Captain America getting exposed as a villain is kind of symbolic in a sense... he made the wrong choice.

Very powerful show. That episode could seriously end racism.

But it goes to show that there will always be people either upset with the way things are/were,... or continuously creating conflict.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier kinda represent two regular white & black dudes caught up in the political climate of 2020.

Falcon = Gen-X Black man
White Wolf = Gen-X White man

Isaiah Bradley = Baby Boomer/WW II Black Man
Karli Morgenthau = Liberal Millennial Extremist / Islamic Terrorist / Antifa
John Walker = Alt. Right Republican Trumper / Corrupt Cop
Baron Zemo = Deep State

have to give Isaiah Bradley some credit... I mean, he does a good job explaining why black folks shouldn't be so patriotic, and they'd be foolish for doing so. Falcon does a good job explaining why black folks today shouldn't give up on the American system but fight to improve it. Bucky reminds us that there are still goodhearted cool white folks in the world, kinda like me.

:lol what do you mean? He rekt the dude because he had already taken the serum. He wouldn't have been able to kick everyone's ass without it.

The last episode was kinda sappy but it was cool. They stuck to comics as far as his suit but I just dont think it transfers well on real life.

Its just too much white but whatever I like falcon and the actor is cool too so I want to see him in more movies.

I agree... something about the Falcon character not wearing a helmet and having no serum doesn't work for me... MFer would've cracked his head open at some point.

But regardless... I'm still able to look past the ridiculous suit and laws of physics being broken.

Captain America was always a corny character to begin with, I never cared about his comics as a child, But somehow Marvel Studios was able to make his story interesting even after they failed on the first movie (The First Avenger).

I did end up watching all 9 episodes of WandaVision and thought it was great... But still think this show was slightly better.

Just skip to the last 2 episodes. The first 4 were such a drag imo, with nothing really special happening.

Oh and the antagonist in this series is absolute shit

On episode 3 it's ok so far.

The Falcon and the Winter Soilder have great chemistry together on screen

And Zemo is a top 5 character in the entire MCU, glad to see him back

It was good, not as good as Wandavision bit it's still worth a watch if you're a MCU fan

This show sets up a Thunderbolts movie which is basically the closest thing Marvel has to the Suicide Squad

Only if you are an MCU fan. I don't have the guts to recommend this show to my non-hardcore MCU fans. It wasn't shitty. It was mediocre. The only wow moment, was the end of episode 4.
