Haven't watched as many Bucks games this season so I can't make a case but I was wondering if he wins again, is anyone else gonna start feeling kinda bad for him?

Imagine him getting the award and being on top of the world for a couple hours before it sets in again that he's not the best player in the league and isn't gonna win a chip anyway. Almost like a sympathy prize. Poor guy.

I was actually thinking that with Embiid, who probably was the favorite, missing so many games during an already abbreviated season, this could possibly be one of the weakest but closest MVP races in recent history. As of right now, I don't know any player who has an overwhelmingly compelling case for being a much better candidate for the award than any other legit candidate.

I may be overreacting but i just think they were better last season. Their record in the previous rs speaks for itself. I mean it took them at least 60 games to lose 10 games but a year ago, we know covid-19 had to strike so hard. So ofc, all of that were left to shambles and coach bud often does an inferior job in closing the season.

Not that postseason play should have an effect on a regular season award, but we all know Giannis' last 2 playoff flameouts have pretty much disqualified him from the MVP race.

The race will come down to Embiid/LeBron/Jokic and maybe Luka if Dallas can pick it up. With Embiid out for at least 2 weeks, this looks like LeBron's award to lose as of right now.

He is actually playing as well as last year / but team success and w/l is everything for MVP status.
