Looked into the subject matter in much further detail... it actually is a matter of perspective.

It's like an analogy of your life, sitting in a room at your parents house, waiting for something that's not going to happen.

@Dooms: They definitely use green screen tech sometimes for speeches, but I don't see why that wouldn't just be because of practicality and convenience. There's been plenty of real life absurdity though, optical illusions that people like blade fell for which were quite significant.
