Peter Schiff ended up on national TV though, saying he had proof that Trump was a Russian asset. I don't think Russia made him do that, but who knows, it certainly created chaos.

that's up for any individual to decide for themselves.

my take? it has a lot to do with social media, and how the msm on both sides has gotten progressively worse over the past few decades. the culture war (aka the big distraction) is at it's full peak, and nobody (well, the mass majority of people anyway) has any interest in talking about the inequities of our economic and foreign policy... because they have no real knowledge on the subjects and just repeat whatever talking point they hear on their favorite network, or whatever the 'team' approach is at any given moment.

how do we reform health care, education and immigration? how do we address our national debt? automation? jobs heading overseas? how long does the middle east remain our responsibility? how do we hold the media accountable? how do we get the media to hold politicians accountable? when was the last time anyone on tv talked about these things? it's no question that we need an infrastructure overhaul, especially in cities like detroit, or gaston, nc. but how much should be spent, and how targeted should it be? infrastructure should be the LEAST partisan issue.

nobody talks about these things on an honest intellectual level. it's all perpetuated culture war bullshit that pits one faction against the other while we lose sight of what actually matters.
