which player had the better prime?

hakeem had better numbers & advanced stats. also did more heavy-lifting with his scoring (both in the rs & playoffs). duncan had better intangibles, was more stable & might've been the better defender.

'03 Duncan was a beast, but this is easily Hakeem for me. I don't even know if I'd take more than 5 players over '93-'95 Hakeem

to be fair, 98-05 duncan matches up well with 90-95 hakeem. i would say "easily" for peak hakeem too, but chose PRIME to make it more even.

Not many fans talk about his 93 season, but its arguably as dominant as his 94 and 95 years.

I made a thread on this not too long ago.

I got Hakeem. I think they more or less even out in all other areas except Hakeem is a better scorer.

Hakeem’s better on both ends but he’s not stepping into a series with 2003 Duncan and ever looking clearly better.


Hell the 93 and 03 versions of these guys is really a wash. I mean Hakeem IS better. But Play off Duncan was as good as any big ever probably. He busted his ass and played with ungodly intensity.

Better defender? Not even close. Hakeem was very obviously a superior defensive player. Just like Robinson was.

Ducan was the better defender, Oljawon the better scorer, I chose offense over defense

79% to 21% so far. poll is open for a few more days, so if you haven't voted cast it asap. i like hakeem over duncan as well, but understand why some prefer duncan's consistency and intangibles. the spurs felt like contenders for the longest, and that was with duncan at the forefront.

Hakeem. I think he was better or equal to Duncan at almost everything except for passing. Duncan was a better passer imo
