We get to milk the last little bit of basketball out of JJ Reddick's career... I think he'll be more determined to shine come playoff time knowing he's in that final chapter.

He was not a good defender and it would really hold back Mavs new identity where defence is very important. You could not really pair him up with neither Luka nor Brunson because it would create a hole in the defence. Now we are getting a playoff veteran with 110 playoff games. He started the season poorly, but in February he averaged close to 10 points on 49% and 47% three-point shooting. Yes, he is not a good defender, but he won't be getting big minutes unless he plays extremely well.
