05' and 06' Zydrunas had higher PER, WS/48, scoring and efficiency than 90' Pippen and the Cavs had the #12 defense (#19 for Bulls)

So lebron had better help on both sides of the ball but was lottery, while MJ nearly beat the champs.

There's more examples:

09' Mo Williams, 10' Jamison and 05' Hughes were better in the same offensive metrics than 90' Pippen, while also having better team defenses.. So Lebron (06-10') had more help on both sides of the ball than 89' and 90' Jordan, yet Jordan nearly beat the champs, while lebron was lottery swept (07'), lottery (05'), or lost as the favorite (09' and 10')
