Lebron was losing to Dwight Howard, Dirk Nowitzki as single stars with HCA and winning bronze medals.

Was shocked to learn he’s not even top 5 most popular in China who he shuts up and dribbles for while denouncing the country who made him rich every time he opens his mouth.
Half of America dislikes him or doesn’t care. Just figured he would be the guy in China. Maybe he’s not likable

Let me explain this to you.
The way we gauge popularity in China is through follower and engagement data on Chinese social media (Weibo and Douyin) and the current top 4 players in that regard are Steph Curry, Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose and Klay Thompson.
Why isn't LeBron up there, you ask?
The difference between those four players and LeBron is that LeBron does not have a Chinese social media account so he has no followers there and no engagement on Chinese social media.
BUT he does have a fan made accounts in his absence.
So take a look at some numbers...
Steph Curry has 4.9 million followers on Weibo.
Klay has 1.6 million followers on Weibo.
Dwight has 1.5 million followers on Weibo.
Rose has 1.2 million followers on Weibo.
LeBron's unofficial accounts have 16 million followers!
(For reference, the mega-popular-in-China Kobe Bryant has 10.2 million followers on Weibo)
If LeBron opened a social media account in China he would easily be ranked by data as the most popular player there.
