Unleashed his beast mode, stat padding his way to 21 assists. The washed God

I'm happy for him.

He's doing something I didn't think was possible - he's averaging 22/11/10 and his PER is only in the teens.

That can only mean a few things like he's probably shooting poorly and turning the ball over a lot.

He assisted on 46 points, scored 35, shot 54% and 67% from 3 winning the game without Beal. I think we can just call it a good game like every other performance of that type in history(not that there technically has been one like it).

I don't like the guy much nor I like the current era, but this is a good performance.

Imagine a Westbrook/Kobe backcourt. The perfect anti-advanced stats duo to drive the obsessed crowd nuts. Plus, every other game one of them would be going beast mode.

Between Kobe chucking and Westbrook chucking someone would be hitting shots

He hit 3 clutch 3's at the end of the game, two of them off an iso iirc. He played fantastic. Rui too.

Both Kobe and WB had excellent advanced stats in their prime so weird take.

He had injury issues early in the year. Took him some time to get his legs back. Had a couple of dunks blocked by the earlier in the season lol.

Looks healthy now. His energy level is impressive to watch night in and night out. He never looks like he is taking a breather out there. When he makes good decisions and hits jumpers he can put up huge numbers.

Kobe was not anti-advanced stats at least in terms of PER. In his prime he averaged a 25.0 PER which is good. In his 30s before his achilles he averaged a 23.1 PER which is good. His peak was a 28 PER which is also good. His career average of 22.9 is also good - top 30 all-time - even though it includes injury riddled seasons and his younger years when he was still developing.

I'd say his "true" career average PER is 24.1 which would be top 15 all-time.

Kobe put up solid advanced stats every season they were just not as great as some others (a relatively small group of people).
