Harden 8x all star
Durant 11x all star
Irving 6x all star
Griffin 6x all star
Aldridge 7x all star
Jordan 3x all star

Can these guys ball : Finals rings , mvp regular season , mvp finals , all NBA team , All defensive team , most improved player, 6th man award.
COUNT THEM 6 PLAYERS

We have seen some stacked teams in the past , but this is the all-time.
Closest was the 03/04 Laker team - Shaq, Kobe , Malone, Payton, Grant

THAT WAS FIVE PLAYERS..... --- you remember how they finished ?? THEY LOST.

So if the Nets win - it should be a given.
SO if they Nets lose - biggest pancake that was laid in the NBA.

Do we really want teams like this in the future ?
I for one say HEII NO.

Durant really wants to outdo Lebron in everything.

Why they are not a lock in.

KD - came off a career ending injury and has yet to show consistency and appears to have lost a step.
Kyrie - part-time player that can go AWOL at any time even in the playoffs. See stint in Boston.
Griffin - clearly washed up at this point and may even be a liability
Aldridge - washed up and a liability on defense
Jordan - has been trash for many years now

Lakers are deeper and better defensively. Lebron, 2 ADs, Schroder, Kuzma, Montrez, Gasol and solid cast = sure chip this year. Lakers are making sure both Lebron and AD are back 100% for playoffs. We don't even know what the true status of KD is.

No excuses for either team.

Lakers have big three and 2 players with 6th man of the year caliber. Other than Lebron who is 36 years old, their 4 best players(Davis, Drummond, Shroder and Harrell) are all under 30 and in their absolute prime. Nets have big three too but Durant and Harden are 33 and 32 already, Irving is in his prime but we never know when he will take days off in a playoffs series to do other things. Other than the big three, there aint another player in their prime good enough as 6th man on the team. Griffin and Aldridge are washed, DJ doesnt give any efforts on D, we just dont have as talented and deep rosters. Of course, we will have better chemistry since Lebron's teammates always struggle to fit next to him, so we will see. But anyway, this wont change the fact that Lebron and the Lakers have the clear cut best rosters in the league, theres no excuse if they dont win it all with big three and 2 x 6th man of the year.

Those Lakers lost for three reasons, and I'll list them in order of importance:

1 - That Detroit team of that particular year, 2004, is arguably the best defensive team that ever played the game.
2 - Karl Malone was injured for most of the 2004 season and aggravated the injury even further in game 2.
3 - Kobe Bryant was playing with Finals MVP in mind rather than actually winning the games. This ties into point 1 because the Pistons attempted to encourage this behavior out of Bryant from the get go, and they did so quite successfully.

There is no team in the league as good defensively as the 2004 Pistons or anywhere close to that level. There is nobody standing in the Nets way except the Nets own willingness to play defense and maybe just maybe the Lakers if the Lakers pull it together health wise entirely, which is shaky at best.

In this Washed Down NBA of Today I wouldn't doubt if they win the championship without paying any D.
Everything has been Orchastrated from the get go for the LAKERS or CLIPPERS vs NETS finals. The NBA needs to recover a lot of $$$$$ they lost since COVID first hit. This is the best way to do so. Two teams that have 70% of the stars that play in the league so all the world will watch and the new generation of kids born in 2000+ will love it.

Harden 8x all star
Durant 11x all star
Irving 6x all star
Griffin 6x all star
Aldridge 7x all star
Jordan 3x all star

Here's the problem:

Durant - 0x All-Defensive
Irving - 0x All-Defensive
Griffin - 0x All-Defensive
Aldridge - 0x All-Defensive

The Nets are soft and they're doubling down on a soft system.

Yeah the Lakers are much better team, same big three and better depth/balanced rosters, theres no excuse if Lebron fails to win as title favorite again.

mostly because Kobe was a selfish prick

The only thing that could stop the Nets from winning would be KD getting injured and not playing, just like he did in the 2019 playoffs.

Imagine them trying to guard Jokic though

Having Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge is non-essential supporting cast members is an incredible luxury

Nets should win. No team's ever had this many elite go-to scorers who can also play on or off the ball.

Imagine them trying to guard anyone in the playoffs.

The only question is how soon panic mode will kick in for the Nets in the post season.

Spoiler: They are not luxuries.

It will be more difficult to win with them. It has always been difficult to win with them.

Kd: 32 coming off an Achilles and hasn't been able to stay on the floor.

Griffin: Has like 4 dunks in the last 2 year. He's obviously a shell of himself and nowhere near all star level.

Aldridge: also a shell of his former all star self.

Jordan: also a shell of his all star self

Harden: is legit offensively but can't defend.

Kyrie: a head case but legit offensively but also can't defend.

Nets are in no way a lock to win. Lakers or clippers still have a better chance. Defense still matters

for all the arguments above previous posts / players that are seasoned are deadly typically in crunch time.

Point is the Nets are the ultimate stacked team , and like many posts have stated / it will be fun watching them play defense.

I would not doubt that Nash puts them in critical times a zone defense/
