Who's the better duo? A 25 years old Walker, and 24 years old Pierce led the 2002 Celtics in the conference finals.

Tatum and Brown.
The nba is different now.
And refs definitely helped rig some of those Celtics games.

Paul Pierce is the best of the four, so I have to go with that duo.

Antoine Walker was a superior talent to Jaylen or tatum, but trapped in the wrong era
He was taking 8 threes a game in 2001

You're retarded.
Tatum and Brown take 7 3's a game. Each. Your point?
Tatum and Brown are both elite defenders and Walker is by FAR the worst. Brown and Tatum win easily.

Pretty decent comparison for once. The only difference is that the former didnt have the offense friendly modern rules to take advantage of especially Antoine Walker because he was already slowing down when the mid 2000s offensive rule changes happened.
They are pretty much the same level of players but we really dont know how the rule changes would affect Walkers game. He could have that Steve Nash type of boost or he could just be a more efficient version of himself.

Walker could play all 5 positions and was a bigger boss coming out of college.
I'd snap take him over by Tatum or Brown, whose capability is inferior

Tatum is a top 12 player in the league.
Peak Antoine was barely ever top 20

On what basis is Tatum top 12
And Antoine's skillset was suppressed by the era. He'd be one of the biggest beneficiaries of today's format
Otoh, Tatum would be a spot-up shooter in the 2001 no-spacing zone era

So it was the era that made him hit 34% of them?
Walker did have some dribbling and passing skills you don't normally see in a big but he wasn't a good scorer from the post or really anywhere. He was a volume guy that still landed in the low 20s.
He might have been a better leader but that's the kind of behind the scenes thing that's hard to gage.

Walker and Pierce were like the trash brothers in Toronto (Lowry and DeRozan)
One player was quite good, the other was a chucking machine that benefited more from the other.
Give me Tatum and Brown any day.

Pierce is the only one proven in that list. Tatum in his nth year still can't finish strong off the drive. He always gets stripped or loses the ball in traffic. Brown is solid but needs to be more consistent. That said, I would go with Tatum/Brown. Walker is trash.

Paul Pierce alone might be enough to give him the nod based solely on his clutch ability in relation to Tatum or Brown (not proven to be clutch).

If Tatum top 12 it just shows me how weak this league is

He was in an era where he could get away with being inefficient.

Pierce & Tatum are close, but Brown is so much more preferable to Walker that this isn't even a debate for me.
