LeBron - Cavs, Heat, Lakers - won with all 3
Kareem - Bucks and Lakers, won with both
I really thought that this list would be longer when I made this thread, but it turns out that these are the only two worth mentioning. :applause:
It seems the ponderous thread that user tpots has created earlier has triggered op so much. :ohwell:

Lebron mostly lost everywhere he went
He hand-picks the the league favorite (11', 15') and then mostly loses thereafter... Specifically....
* He teamed up with Kobe-Pau II and was a perennial Finals loser/underdog
* 1/4 with Kyrie and ran him off... Then ran off IT (#5 for MVP in 2017)
* Lottery in the West until AD arrived and made lebron his Pippen

Like Robert Horry: 7 rings, 7 out of 7 in the finals. You know, the thing higher than 6 rings and 6 out of 6 in the finals? :oldlol:

You have to understand that Lebron went from his old teams to his new teams, because he couldnt compete with his old teammates anymore. He left after humiliating losses in the playoffs series(2010, 2014 and 2018). Its not like he was traded, he picked the most talented team or the team with greatest potential, and barring 2019 his teams have been favorites or second-favorites to win the title every year and yet he won 4 out of 10 in his championship window years(3 out of 6 as title favorites).

MJ's teams were only in championship window for 6 years and he won 6 out of 6. The other 7 years the Bulls were never close to a title contender, and yet MJ took them to exceed expectation. I've analyzed this in a thread I made earlier, and you apparently skipped this so I will remind you again:

LeBron the ultimate underdog keeps winning against all expectations.
What I see is that Lebron's team underperformed in the regular season so he didnt have HCA and his teammates were considered weaker than they actually were before the finals series. Lebron's 12 Heat and 16 Cavs were both the more talented teams, and yet you dont seem to understand why they underperformed. Lebron's ball dominant style destroyed Wade and Bosh/Love, turning the former from superstar to all-star, the latter from all-star to role player. This is why Lebron's teams suddenly looked weaker and became underdogs when the finals series began.

So the Bulls were the favorites for 5 of their 6 titles. According to you the other day, those titles don't mean much and fans shouldn't have made a big deal cause they were already the favorites, correct?
Guess that means.........James winning titles as the underdog >>>>>>>> MJ winning titles as the favorite.

Except Lebron didnt win as underdog, 3 out of his 4 titles were pre-season favorites, the other one(2020) as Preseason #2(MJ won as Preseason #4 in 1991). You are mad and you dont know what you are talking about.

But you said that winning the title after being the favorite is hardly a call for celebration by the fans. So what's so special about the Bulls titles? By your criteria, if they were already the favorite, then they're titles mean less, correct??
2012 and 2016 underdog titles >>>>>>>>>> MJ's expected titles.

Except Lebron was pre-season favorites in 2012 and 2016, he and his team underperformed in the regular season and conference playoffs so suddenly his more stacked teams became 'underdogs' in finals. My criteria are all based on pre-season odds, so your point is invalid if you use other metrics(and by your own standard, MJ's 1991, 1993 and 1998 titles were underdogs too).
Check these links out and they state clearly that Heat and Cavs were favorites, not underdogs:

So those were still the same odds before game 1 of the Finals each year?

I only use pre-season odds as metric since these are the definite guides on predicting the chance of NBA Finals winner based on each team's raw talent, disregarding other factors such as team chemistry, coaching, injuries, HCA, mid-season trade, etc. Pre-season favorites are teams with the best rosters if we add up the individual talents, hence the most talented and stacked teams. Unless major injuries or mid-season trade happen, theres no excuse to not win as pre-season favorites. Lacking team chemistry/incompatible teammates aint valid excuses, Lebron is known for playing a ball dominant style that makes him hardly compatible with most all-star level teammates.

And I already explained to you, that each MJ's title is worth as much as Lebron's. MJ has 5 rings as favorite, Lebron has 3. They both have 1 title as non-favorites, so apparently 5 + 1 > 3 + 1. Of course you can throw other players like Duncan and Dirk into the discussion to show me that their titles are worth more than MJ's, but cant use Lebron as argument here.

The problem with Lebron isnt that he jumped ship to collude, he has every right to leave for another team once his contract expires. The actual issue is, he still somehow managed to win less than 50% of the time after he made his big three superteams. Once he decide to collude, any excuses like his teammates were weak or the opponents were strong became invalid. Its ring or bust as soon as he left Cleveland in 2010.

Are you really this stupid? MJ's titles as favorites mean less, but so are with Lebron's, at this point 5 > 3 is a perfect argument. MJ won 5 times as pre-season favorites, Lebron only won 3 times. Are you telling me that only MJ's titles worth less when they are favored, but Lebron will get a pass? Isnt this double standard?

But your flaw is the Bulls were still the favorite before game 1 tip-off of the Finals, where James wasn't the favorite in 2012 and 2016.
