View Full Version : I've never seen Kyrie so good

He is absolutely peaking on the Nets. I made a thread earlier this season but I have to make another one.

28/5/6 on 50/40/90 and he's only 6'1. He legit is playing like Kobe this year but with better shooting...and is only 6'1, that's insane. In fact, he's the best midrange scorer in the NBA this year. I've seen his shot chart and he is between 51%-62% for all quadrants on the midrange, which is mind boggling for a guy his size.

He's legit going to kill it in the playoffs this year, without a doubt. If you are a Kyrie hater, you better be prepared to be mad in the playoffs.

It's still going up against huge odds to pick them for the title. No big 3 in NBA history has only played like 10 games together and went on to win a championship. Harden is reinjured now as soon as Durant is about to be back, so the big 3 will total for like 10-15 games together MAX. This is the year that ends up being 2011 miami and Durant most likely gets made fun of about it for years. Meanwhile, GOAT Kawhi can sneak in his 3rd finals MVP.

Guys like Pat Beverly, Jrue Holiday or even Rondo will put the clamp down on Irving in the playoffs anyway.

I agree with OPs assesment. This is peak Kyrie. He is in total control of the game. If he keeps this up in the post season the Nets will win the title.

This is Jordan and peak-Wade level offensive efficiency.

yep, which is why brooklyn is the clear favorite. durant is scheduled to return this week, and if he plays anywhere like he did before sitting out (high volume, super efficient & MVP level), nobody stands a chance. defense simply wont matter when they're outscoring teams into submission.

Lol exactly, so many people are still in denial about the Nets and are just PRAYING for them to be injured come playoff time. KD, Kyrie and Harden have massive chips on their shoulders and will destroy the league.

He is having an amazing season, he will go down as one of the best offensive players under 6'5 we have ever seen

He's the most exciting player to watch

Your stan arc is so weird. You used to stan Lebron ONLY for years and then you randomly switched to stanning KD/Kyrie over the last two years. Why is that?

Im so nba'd out

Harden, KD, Kyrie

Ordered based on how they can individually carry this team

Isaiah Thomas averaged 29/6/3 at 5’7 midget

If KD is fully healthy I personally would pick him over Harden but I can't say you're wrong if you would rather have Harden.

I've made threads about this before. Zach Lavine is averaging prime Kobe numbers on even better efficiency as well.

It's just the era.

He's not a better player. Anymore than Kyrie is. Though I'll give it to Kyrie that he's one of the best ball handlers and finishers around the rim that I've seen. But Prime Kobe in this era apples to apples would be putting up 35 a game easily and on similarly greater efficiency than he did in his own era. Today's 25ppg 5apg 5rpg 50/40/90 players are more like yesteryears 21ppg 3.5 and 3.5 46/38/90 players

I see him using his left hand a lot this season. He's flat out unguardable.

When I say play like Kobe, I mean style of play. Lavine is a freak athlete and 6'6, but he doesn't really PLAY like Kobe.

When I watch Kyrie this year, he has SO many dribble moves, counter moves, crazy footwork, uses his left hand for a lot of different tough finishes at the rim and out to about 10 feet. He legit looks like Kobe, just a crazy deep bag and highly skilled. I think Kyrie would basically be Kobe right now if he was 6'6.

Ah if you mean by variety of moves yeah I agree Kyrie has always looked like a pocket Kobe to me - he's insanely skilled

People are retarded.

I said Kyrie has gotten better every single year of his career and is an MVP level player now.

He's an idiot but bball wise he blocks out everything and is just a free baller.

That's because lavine has been more superior than him in terms of shooting efficiency.

I agree with that order. Yeah Kyrie's issue has always been durability. He's an amazing player but his style is reckless and injury prone.

It is what it is and Nets are fully aware.

Kyrie was a 50/40/90 on 25 PPG guy w/ ultimate clutch shots in the playoffs for Cleveland many years ago.... He's always been this good you guys just never appreciated his skill.

No he hasnt.

He's far better now than in 2017 or 2016 :oldlol:

clown.

If you cant see that by his skillset/shooting alone I cant help you.

One run which wasnt as good as current production doesnt mean he was as good of a player lol

He averaged 26/5/3 on 47/41/89 in the 2016 and 2017 playoffs across 39 games. Including multiple 40 point Finals games plus clutch play. He's always been this good.... The Nets are just scoring at a higher mark than any other team ever right now. Harden is a better fit because he can sacrifice his scoring to be the pure setup man ala Magic.

So he's stagnated the last 5 years?

Kyrie has progressively gotten better every single season, he's the textbook improver.

And you look at reg season stats and watch games to see that.

Those numbers arent even as good as what he's doing now on bigger volume lol.

Not a soul fan didn't appreciated Kyrie since he was 18yo at Duke and leaps better than his class. He was the unhatable and most like for a long time. Even past 2017ish. Undeniable 1st overall pick even being injured all college, everyone knows that just like how he was the overwhelming ROTY out the womb. But you don't recall bc this was during another dark long stretch of Bean's career which he sank Lakers success. When you and the bean scouts nosedived from "kinda hopeful mamba Lakers do okey" into a much more bloodlust and miserable "IDGAF as long as Bran lose "

It's just too much fun to pass up a good poking on Been Teen who prayed the past 10 years this Kyrie, then George, then Curry, then Kawhi, then Harden etc will finally be the reincarnation. But smack dab on each forehad that common sidekick element and Beta bloodline ye'cherrish, it's just guuddddd lulz to not *boop* *boop* :lol

Watching Little Tpot resent and wet his bed another long playoffs. From 'his' Lakers no chance vs Rockets, absolutely none. To Blaming refs, then 2x MVP Westbrook, 4-1 4-1 4-1 quickie. :lol Dat Gaunlet Doe *boop* Bran zipping through Wild West like 36yo Wild'n Coyote *boop*

Obv shitting on prime Kyrie getting backdoored bullied by Bledoe in the Least Semi's get's dem *boops* Tributes to his great predecessor early round doozies to Raja Bell, twice. Same drill as always, you build the course "anybody can make the Finals in least" and we gon *wink* *nudge* *smile* and stack those chips
