Nets offense when Durant is on court: 123.7 in 698 minutes

Clippers offense when Kawhi is on court: 123.0 in 1489 minutes

Are Kawhi and Durant the greatest offensive players this league has ever? They are pretty much 7"3-7"5 wingspan ****ers with Michael Jordan's skillset.

- both guys have extreme wingspan that ranges from 7"3 to 7"5

- both guys have goat level mid range shots which is the most dependable jump shot in playoffs

- both guys can hit the 3 at elite level

- both guys can dribble/pass and post up with literally zero offensive weaknesses

- both guys have an unstoppable turnaround shot

- both guys also don't take the regular season seriously because their so godlike

- both guys have a combined 12-2 finals record over LeBron since 2014

- both guys have insane 1 on 1 advanantages due to skill and length and mobility for their sizes

they're both two of the best scorers ever, but best offensive players? that's a total package pal. by the numbers (individual impact like obpm/orpm/vorp or on/off and team function) there are objectively better players. jordan could do everything you mentioned (also shot 37% from three in the finals) but was a better finisher/playmaker. curry, lebron & magic are in that conversation as well.

How can you possibly stop guys with mobility like that and are 7"3-"7"5 wingspan? When they pull up on you, they are like 9 feet in the air.

Also elite passers when their asked upon to do it. Ball handling of guards when they go 1 on 1 as well.

Kawhi, ofcourse, shouldn't even be mentioned in this conversation, but Durant is actually pretty close.

Like Kawhi, Durant have little to none court vision or passing ability, weak off-the-ball game, he's nothing special in the open court or on offensive glass and he can't get to the rim at will like so many offensive greats can.

But, Durants combination of length, mobility and shooting ability are truly unprecedented. He is easily top 5 offensive player of all time.
Kawhi, on the other hand, doesn't have those unique talents. He's pretty good in some things, but every era have few dozens of players with similar offensive ability to Kawhi. Kawhi's DPOY level defense is what will actually make him crack top 50 players of all time when he's done.

I agree with you. Kawhi's mention in this debate is just :biggums: However, Durant is one of the best scorers I have seen in my lifetime, super-skilled, he could be one of the best offensive players in the almost 75 years of the league. Yes, 75 years, because some of you just mention "all-time" as last 10-20 years.

Not sure I agree here. They can both force a good shot for themselves much more effectively than Curry. Curry is a better blow out force, but they are better in a tight playoff game against a locked in, quality defense.

The players better on offense only in this era:

Durant
Curry
Lebron
Doncic
Harden
Irving
Jokic
Lillard
Beal
Zion
Lavine
Trae

I would say KD would rank pretty high. He has several scoring titles with excellent efficiency.

Kawhi is good but methinks your nose is a little too close to his nether regions.

Kawhi was an offensive on/off of +18.7 during his 2019 title run. Nick Nurse has never led a top 13 offense without Kawhi. Now Kawhi is leading a 123 offensive rating all season without any all time great offensive players on his team. You guys need to think before you type. Either trolling or don't understand basketball.

Curry > both

ORtg:
1. Kawhi Leonard 123.0
2. Kyrie Irving 122.8
3. Michael Porter 122.7
4. Nikola Jokic 122.2
5. Paul George 121.1
6. Marcus Morris 121.1
7. Jamal Murray 121.1
8. Will Barton 121.0
9. Reggie Jackson 120.9
10. Rudy Gobert 120.8

Holy shit, Kawhi's so damn good his gravity puts 3 other teammates in the top 10, even scrub ass fools like Reggie Jackson hahaha. Think Dirk lite gravity but x3

This is the least informative list I’ve seen in a minute. Probably shouldn’t be using any metric to mean anything that has several guys on it that won’t even be all stars

Kawhi's finishing is underrated. He has dunked over plenty of guys. 7 footers like Giannis, Porzingis, Embiid

3 best offensive players this season Kawhi, Irving, Jokic and all their teammates who benefit from being on their team. I don't know why it's difficult for you to understand. Papa Kawhi just tops the list and is also carrying the biggest scrub on the list (reggie jackson) = best player on the list and best offensive player this season.

Hopefully I explained it a little better.

12-2 vs Lebron in finals since 2014. Before that they were barely old enough to drink an alcohol beverage. Go ask Lebron how good they are or if he likes going 2-12.

Or sometimes an offense as a whole just clicks and people hit their shots for an extended period. Every player on said team then benefits from each other when it comes to ORTg.

Robert Covington. Enes Kanter.

Dwight Powell led the league in ORTg twice.

Rudy Gobert has the highest career ORTg of any player ever.

Your list is useless. Or at very best a small piece of the puzzle. Using it as your reasoning is embarrassing.

I guess it makes sense. Curry was choking his ass off in 2016 finals, Duncan was losing in the 1st round to the 8th seed.

Then by the 2014, 2017/18 finals: the cucks curry and Duncan decided to give kawhi and durant the ball and it led to like a 125 offensive rating for the team hahahaha

Kawhi and Durant are the goat offensive anchors in the playoffs, reg season too when they care anyway lol

Being as unnecessarily disrespectful as bron stans...

Also very short sighted.

And acting like 38 year old Duncan was supposed to be in his prime still

It's not a good thing

Had to deflect to that Morris scrub

An underwhelming 23 points and a game low -12

Kawhi led that series in GmSc (all production). It wasn't his fault that Murray outplayed Paul George. Jokic only scored 2 more points then kawhi in game 7 and it was an asterisk prison bubble setting.

Not all-time but definitely since Kobe, can't think of any other player(s) who peaked in the 2010s that you could give this distinction to besides KD and Kawhi
