Holy shit did anybody just watch that game? Rondo kept hitting 3's in Chris Paul's face all night and Chris Paul was scared to even touch the ball when Rondo was guarding him! Ducking Rondo all night and scared shitless of him. Rondo was the 3rd star tonight and outplayed Chris Paul, thanks atlanta Hawks hahahaha
I'm still thinking about how scared Chris Paul was of Rondo tonight hahahhaha and flopping like a bitch all night as well. 4-0 clippers if they meet in 2nd round.

You couldn't win a ring with clippers, Rondo will do that.
Your trade got blocked to Lakers, Rondo will win a title with them instead
Won title with Celtics
Chris Paul is officially the son of Rajon Rondo.

I would love to see this match-up in the playoffs. They have always hated each other's guts.

5.2 BPM for rondo so far this season. That's good for 2nd best on the team. 3-0 when he plays. I knew Rondo was fooling those atlanta hawks hahaha he just wanted their money but was trying to find his way to clippers.

I remember back in the day when Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Rajon Rondo were considered the best point guards in the league....With Rondo acutally not quite at the same level as Williams and Paul......Oh how things have worked out! Chris Paul is obviously the best of the 3 but Rondo has absolutley crushed it career-wise. He's also clearly way more clutch under pressure than Paul.
It makes me happy that they are arch rivals.

I don't think that's quite fair to Paul considering he has a larger offensive role besides being just a facilitator. Also, the majority of his career has been spent as a number 1 or 2 offensive scoring option. Has rondo ever been a top 3?

No, Rondo has never been a top 3 player in the league. Again, Chris Paul is technically the better player. However, when the lights are shining brightest and the pressure is on, Rondo surpasses Chris Paul. Many times, as a Celtic, he was the best performer in a playoff series. He was a major factor in defeating LeBron in 2010, if I remember correctly.
In any case, these two players are a good illustration of how you have to balance playoff success and general basketball abilities. They are pretty close in the end.

I'm not talking about top 3 player in the league, I'm talking about top 3 Offensive player on his own team.

Top 3 scorer on the game 7 east finals 2012 team, which is further then chris paul has ever played in the playoffs (injured in game 6 2018). He was also the overall clear cut best player on the Celtics 2010 game 7 finals team by most advanced metrics.

No way, kawhi has legit title runs as the best player and Paul got injured. Paul has never reached the 2016-present Kawhi level.

Damn so you had to go back almost a decade to find a single game? Washed up
Chris Paul is a better player in every regard and I don't even like him.

Clippers offense when rondo is on court: 120 offensive rating
Clippers defense when rondo is on court: holding teams to 85.9 offensive rating

It was a game 7 conference finals run, not just a single game. What game 7 conference finals has Chris Paul ever played in? You can go back 30 years and you still will not find it.

Dont have to, CP3 always dishes dimes and points like CPK dishes Pizza my boy
CP3 played for Team USA, biggest stage in the world while rondo was banging his brothers seconds

Banging his brothers seconds? Hahaha I never heard that story. Rondo is a better passer, better defender, better playoff performer and played in like 50 more important playoff games. Paul also had James harden on his team who was way better then anybody on that 2010 celtics team at that point.

Exactly. When you balance out the reg season and playoff performance, they are pretty much equal. Paul is 5x better in reg season but Rondo is 5x better in playoffs. Paul has also bounced around from team to team and been on terrible franchises like Rondo has. I would rather have Rondo's career, he has 3 finals appearances with 2 rings and a game 7. Chris Paul has literally jack shit, eww I pushed warriors to game 6 and got injured, you also lost to James harden and fu*king Josh smith at your peak in 2015.

Rondo is barely even at 60% HOF likelihood
Whereas CP3 is at 100%
No question who the better player is. Stats dont lie.
One of them averages 21/8 in the playoffs
Other averages 13/9
Yeah wonder who is who
CP3 owns Rondo in just about every way.
CP3 has twice as many points as Rondo all time
CP3 has over 3k more assists as Rondo all time
This is a slaughterhouse

I do notice that Chris Paul gets by on his feisty edge. Hes like a little goon but at the same time a flopper. You'll see that he plays super confident against a light skin suburban type in Curry, because he can use that edge to feel tougher than him, but with rondo it doesn't work because rondo is tougher and can beat him at his own game.

As much as I dislike CP3, I have to agree with you. His resume is much better than Rondo's.

Playoff career assists though Rondo is #6 and Chris Paul is all the way down at #19. The majority of Chris Paul's stats are just against 1st round teams when he was getting eliminated all the time or regular season stats. Rondo is playing way deeper in the playoffs against tougher competition. I also didn't mention how much of a better rebounder Rondo is as well as he was a walking triple double back when he was young. Rondo was the one getting MVP chants from Celtics fans during their 2010 finals run, go watch it again. Rondo was also the leading scorer of a team that eliminated Lebron James and that is rare (2010).
Think of Rondo as kind of Kawhi lite (Huge hands, extreme length, enhanced performance in playoffs, youngest player but still best player on Duncan\KG title teams).

Clippers fans when they saw Rondo yesterday "Holy shit it's Rajon Rondo. My boy was the lead playmaker for 3 finals teams. Raj Ron what's cracking bro, we're clippers fans. Listen Rondo, we're playing against Devin Booker the son in law of Caitlyn Jenner, we need you. Bring your mitts and we'll play catch.

They have another playmaker, so kawhi and george don't have to do every single thing. Lowry said in public that Kawhi was their leader. Stop listening to ring less fat airheads like Charles Barkley.
