Losing at half to Lakers Hahahaha wow I'm so scared of playoff choker harden capping your ceiling. You can't even beat the worst team in the league without harden

Marc Gasol pretending to be hurt so he doesn't have to be a bench warmer for Drummond and Harrell

Lowry has been pretending to be hurt since he failed to get any trade offers

Hahahahah both in shambles without Kawhi

Say what you want about Drummond, but he's playing great tonight

Given the Lakers current situation regarding injuries, they need Drummond's 18 PPG on 56% TS. It's roughly what he put up last season.

When healthy, they'll only need maybe 10-13 PPG from him -- which should be of a higher efficiency. Closer to 60% TS would suffice.

Drummond is a guy that must be analyzed in the right context. His offensive rebounds, shot attempts, and overall efficiency are of most concern.

He gets a lot of offensive boards because he misses a lot of put-backs, which affects his shooting efficiency.

One could look at his raw stat-line and assume he was disruptive to the offense, which isn't always true. Sometimes it can be, but I doubt that'll be true when this team is healthy. He won't have enough possessions to do so.

Extremely disgusted with the Nets tonight, specifically Kyrie & Durant. Kyrie getting his ass handed to him by Dennis. Kyrie 0 assists in 21 minutes. Kyrie getting ejected for stupid banter. Just selfish & sad on his part. Durant with 8 turnovers. How the hell do you have 8 turnovers in 24 minutes. Dude, take care of the damn ball. He had 6 against the Pelicans & it's beyond frustrating. From the opening tip it was obvious that the Nets didn't want to play hard. A 20 point loss to a team missing LeBron, AD, Kuzma, and Dennis is embarrassing.

McLemore was already shooting well from the corners on the Rockets - 50% from one and I believe 44% from the other (something like that). His above the break threes (in the 20-25% range) was keeping his percentage down.

He'll shoot well from the corners with LeBron and AD of course.

Schroeder/THT is too much athleticism for BKN.

Jrue and Middleton will literally slaughter them off the dribble. Jrue may have an unthinkable series like he did against Portland where he played like Harden offensively and Tony Allen defensively.

Styles make fights. The Nets simply can't compete with a frontline of Drummond, AD, and LeBron. They're giving up like 150 lbs in their frontcourt. Even if they get a stop, they aren't getting any rebound.

The size and strength is irrelevant. The rebounding edge is irrelevant.

It's all about the Lakers defense.

It comes down to the fact that the Lakers can score with anyone in the league - anyone in history when they're healthy - and they also have the best defense in the league.

If it was like an All-Star game where neither side defended then the Nets would certainly have a chance regardless of the Lakers size, strength, rebounding, etc.

Defense really does win championships and it's not only about the actual defense per se but also the fact that "defense" is code for "which team is committed to doing the hard stuff?" The Lakers are committed to doing the hard work that defense requires while the Nets want it easy.

This season is a lost course, just play it out and hope KD stays healthy while Nash gains playoffs coaching experience so he'd get better next year. We need to try to get Brook Lopez next season as our starting center, he had good history with us and he will be great defending big centers. Claxton should get better and ready to play more minutes too, a playoffs experience should help him too. May keep Aldridge if hes willing to take a David West role as backup C/PF. We need to add 3-D wing players too, lets see what we can do then. Our championship window may be only in 2022 season, so its ring or bust next year.
