I saw that Dwight is actually at his career high in rebounds per minute. Combo of the softness of modern bigs(many of them just being tall forwards and shooters) and high pace.....and having so few other rebounding specialists to fight with.
Reminds me of an argument we had once on Ewing’s numbers. Plays in a more physical time....with loads of other old school bigs at the 4 and 5. Spends like 10 years playing next to Oakley...and at times Oakley and Anthony Mason....while other teams had multiple real interior bigs as well. Can’t compare his rebound numbers vs bigs now. Used to be 4 real rebounders on the floor most of the time with very few soft converted 3s or stretch bigs to bully.
Rodman might pull down 40 rebounds one night today given the minutes.

Josh Hart, a guard who has started four games this season, is in the top 20 in rebounding.
It’s just a matter of time before some NBA team goes full Grinnell and concedes layups and shoots nothing but half court shots and 35 foot 3s
