What can the Mavs do this offseason?

The Mavs got about 80 million in salaries this offseason if Josh Richardson opt out, something he will likely do. That means they got about 45 millions in open cap space. Hardaway goes off the books this off season, does that mean they got to resign him like any other free agents, or can they hold and match someone else and go over the cap?

So what should the Mavs do? Remeber the Mavs are good at trading, taking on bad contracts and later give them value. Signing is not the only option.

Nothing really. Pray that Kawhi saves them? They are stuck with stick figured injury prone Porzingis as the co star of Luka and that will never be enough to even make it out of the 2nd round.

Theres no big name in this FA, they just continue to improve their rosters marginally and maybe trade Porginzis for a better player.

Get Luka on an extremely regimented diet that cuts out all those sugary slavic goodies.

Trade luka for lebron (+ bring back ever single player from this years roster) and you got yourself a title contender...lakers might be dumb enough to do it

Porzingis is like a slightly worse mix of k.love,bosh, and AD.So he will thrive in the lebron system and actually be happy playing basketball again
