1) Kawhi
2) Kobe
3) Durant
4) Curry
To me, kawhi is clearly #1 and Kobe is clearly #2. The tough decision was who was at #3 but I went with Durant because his size and length.

1. Curry
2. Kobe
3. Kawhi
4. KD
2014-2017 Curry was the greatest offensive player ever
Kawhi over KD because of defense
Kobe is the most reliable in the playoffs

I thought about going Kawhi over Kobe, but peak Kobe was just way too explosive of a scorer. Also might swap Curry and KD around.

Therefore Kobe is clearly the choice. Particularly over Curry.
I'd probably say Kawhi over KD for the same reason you did.
Kobe vs Kawhi is a toss-up. Probably Kobe because he plays the thinking mans game and that's required sometimes in tight situations.

Best scoring championship runs:
695 points on 530 shots for Kobe in 2009
732 points on 496 shots for Kawhi in 2019

Curry was the 3rd best scorer during the 2016 finals. Put up Scottie pippen volume (22PPG). Also in game 7 he put up 17 points on 43% TS.
No way the greatest offensive player ever can perform like this and manage to win zero finals mvps in 2017 or 2015.

Peak play is extremely difficult to rank, all 5 could be ranked in virtually any order. If I had to pick one for a playoff run, I'd most likely go
1. Kawhi
2. Wade
3. Kobe
4. Durant
5. Curry
For all of Curry's amazing attributes (GOAT shooting, spacing and gravity he provides), of the 5 he's the one who has the most difficulty consistently creating his own looks, and also seems to be the most prone to getting thrown off his game in the playoffs.
Barring significant injuries at this point Durant will never win a title without a comically stacked team, and just being honest outside of 2012 his playoff performances in OKC left a lot to be desired. We know Durant is insanely talented, GOAT level shooter and scorer, but we'll never get the chance to know just HOW great he was under pressure. He won those titles on absolute easy mode, and maybe he'll get his chance in Brooklyn, but we never saw him will his team to a title like Wade, Kawhi & Kobe did.
Kawhi/Wade/Kobe are the clear top 3 to me, very marginal difference between them. You'd have to kind of nitpick to separate these guys. My reasoning for going with Kobe 3rd is he just always seemed to play his worst in the Finals, for whatever reason, just too many inefficient games from him on the biggest stage. And I went with Kawhi at the top spot due to his superior shooting and defense over Wade

dude everybody in the NBA is putting up wild stats right now, kobe did that against much tougher defense.
kobe's peak in and around 06 is only eclipsed by a few players, and while his defense is overrated it is still good enough. By far kobe bryant

06 hahahah he blew a 3-1 lead in the playoffs that season. If everybody is getting 732 point on 62% TS championship runs, show me more examples.
By 2005, wade was already getting touch fouls and going to the free throw line 20 times a game in the finals. Wow such a tough era lol

Kobe and the flaw both blew 3-1 leads for LA during the playoffs? Wow this is soo amazing jejeje.

Fair and good analysis. Refreshing to see an opinion on today's game that doesn't come off as old man yelling at the clouds.

But it's easier to come back from down 1-3 when there's no home court advantage and you don't have to worry about the fans. Blowing closeout games on your home court is worse, kawhi has never lost a closeout game on his home court.

Oh really? Too bad all the participating teams in the 2020 disney bubble and their respective players underwent the same conditions though. So no, they don't get excused for that.

This, There’s no excuse for clippers losing that series. The bubble was clippers only chance to win a chip but they f’ed that up

But still game 7 of the 2020 wcsf allowed kawhi to play at his best level, going 14 points on 6/22 during the said elimination game and hbk himself personally cherishes this big achievement made by his hero, never mind if the clippers never got a chance to be in a potential hallway series against the lakers in the wcf during that time.

I like using that metric. So I take it you used 2019 Kawhi/2006 Wade/2009 or 2010 Kobe. I can agree with that ranking.
Just curious, if you were to narrow it down even further to just a single series, would you still have the same ranking for those three? Essentially this is comparing Kawhi's series vs Sixers, Wade's series vs Mavs, and Kobe's series vs Suns. I'd prolly go Wade, Kawhi, and then Kobe.

Curry - one of the best peaks in NBA history.
Kobe - not as impressive, but very reliable.
KD - absolutely unstoppable as a scorer in his prime.
Kawhi - didn't have accolades or results others on the list had during his peak.

Just saying that Kawhi is the best over and over again won't make it true.
Any objective person would have him 3rd at best on this list. I can't see an argument for him over any of the other 3.

The thing with KD is that he needs a superstar point guard next to him (Harden,Curry, Harden, Kyrie)
Remember during the 2019 season when Curry went down for a while and the Warriors struggled greatly, even during the Lakers game a couple of day ago the Nets completely fell apart after Kyrie got ejectef

Kobe
Kawhi
Durant
Curry
1- Kobe
2- Durant
3- Curry
4- Kawhi
However, if you compare only offenses, 2016 Curry would be best.
