When you hear people say a player was ahead of their time, Antoine Walker fits this mold perfectly. No one would have said this 10 years ago tho, but now.
There were no 4 Pointers ... right?
This man played 20 years too early.
A five year peak in Boston saw him average 21/8/4. He averaged eight 3 point attempts in 2003 alone. Pretty sure that was the record at that time.
Was a three time All-Star.
He would fit so perfectly in today's NBA where as he was a laughing stock when he played.

still be inefficient with a ton of turnovers
Still just a number 2 guy at best in his team

The guy put up 20 shots a game to reach those scoring numbers on a hideous 49%TS, which would still be considered inefficient back then

With Lebron he would basically be considered a wealthy man’s Pippen.
On his own or with any other leader, he’d be the Eddy Curry of small forwards.

His efficiency would obviously improve with the way they protect shooters and slashers nowadays. He could be the best player on a low end playoff team averaging around 25pts 10rebs 7asts on decent efficiency, taking advantage of the modern rules and playstyle.

It was but the league average TS% was as low as like 51-52% some of those years so it’s not nearly as bad as it looks now. He’d be more efficient today for no other reason than he would be told to take more efficient shots like everyone else is.

He would win the kids choice award probably and if he could win that, sky is the limit. I don’t even think iverson won a kids choice award

The game was played different back then. He was playing 20 years ahead.
