IF the league chooses to do an official 75 Greatest Players in the next year or so (50 greatest list was in 1996), who would be the 25 you would add? I would roll these 25 in no particular order:
1. Bron
2. Kobe
3. KG
4. AI
5. Wade
6. Duncan
7. Nique
8. Dirk
9. KD
10. Steph
11. Nash
12. McAdoo
13. English
14. Ray Allen
15. Pierce
16. Westbrook
17. CP3
18. Harden
19. Reggie Miller
20. Payton
21. Kidd
22. Kawhi
23. AD
24. Giannis (maybe a bit soon but **** IT! He's already a 2 time MVP, DPOY, All Star Game MVP, 5 All Star Games, 4 All NBA. Plus his peak-prime value is among the best ever at the PF. Top 3-5 level)

I wouldn't add any guys who missed the first go around. Sorry no Nique, McAdoo, Miller, etc. Just 25 additional.
Now if they make an entire new list, that'll be different look. Some guys from the top 50 will possibly be left off like Robert Parish.

It will be interesting to see how they do it. I think you could add guys who missed the first go around. Because you are expanding the list by 25. So the argument for them to be included is there weren't enough slots to get them on last time. The logic is the league is listing the top 75 greatest players EVER! So Nique, McAdoo, English, and Reggie fit that bill. So why penalize them when they didn't make the 50 greatest list?
But I would rather them redo the list totally. And not just add 25 extra players. Because that list had a ton of mistakes. Some guys were on there because they were part of championship teams. They couldn't have been THE GUY on a title team. Or they were never considered superstar material. Parish was NEVER considered a superstar level player. Sure he was a steady All Star player. BUT if you take away all of his rings, he likely doesn't make the HOF. Nique on the other hand was FOR SURE a superstar player. At one point was the #2 SF in the world only behind Bird. And he made 9 All Star Games and 7 All NBA teams. Yet Parish made the 50 greatest while Nique didn't! LMAO!!

If Jack Sikma can make the Hall, I think Parish would have eventually.
But I think they should just add 25. The first 50 represented 50 years. It wouldn't be right if the past 25 years gets only say 13 players and the other 12 come from guys who missed our 25 years ago.

I'm cool if they just add 25 too. It's good for continuity sake. But there were MANY guys on the original 50 that didn't deserve to be on the original 50. So i was like HELL just do the whole damn list again from scratch! LOL
When it comes to Sikma vs. Parish , Sikma got a ring! So that made his HOF case stronger. In addition to 7 All Star Games. And his game was MORE UNIQUE than Parish to me. Late in his career, he was one of the first TRUE CENTERS who started exploiting the three point line. Peak for peak, I think Sikma was the more skilled and better player in general. 18-19 PPG, 3-4 APG, 11-12 RPG and All D caliber defense in his best days.

Dominique was hyped to be the #2 sf but as we've already discussed he wasn't. If he didn't make the top 50 then why would he make top 75 now when advanced stats don't paint him as well as he was then?

Nique was FOR SURE the #2 SF in the world at one point. And at other times arguably was in that #2 slot. Nique not making the top 50 was the BIGGEST OMISSION! His name is usually the first one that pops up as biggest snub. Then McAdoo. Those two EASILY should have made that top 50 list.
Plus one HUGE THING in Nique's favor is the fact he was LEGIT one of the top 5-6 faces on the NBA at one point. When it came to the All Star Games, Dunk Contests, posters, VHS videos, the face of TBS sports, etc. Nique was a superstar with true IT FACTOR you could market. From there, u CAN'T write the story of MJ or Bird's career WITHOUT Nique being a key part of those stories!
Nique was MJ's main rival when it came to freak athletic scoring dominance in the league. And Bird vs. Nique was the greatest game 7 duel in NBA history! On the GOAT charts the ONLY SF from that 80's golden era of that position OVER Nique is Bird. The fact Nique is on many peoples top 10 GOAT SF list even though he DIDN'T win a ring says a lot.
