The Nets are the better team but nearly equal.

I think we are better than the 2016 Warriors, but the Lakers are also better than the 2016 Warriors. The Warriors in 2016 did won 73 games, but they were about as good as a 56 wins team(they just overachieved in regular season, nothing more nothing less). The 55 wins Thunder took them to 7 games, while 57 wins Cavs beat them at home. The Nets this year should be as good as a 62 wins team, while the Lakers a 65 wins team this year.

They're a 56 win team even though they won 67 then 73 b2b years. Makes sense I guess

They overachieved in regular seasons, playing a style of basketball that no one was accustomed to, but their rosters aint good enough to win more than 56 games. This showed in playoffs series, in which they were almost eliminated by 55 wins Thunder and lost to 57 wins Cavs. If they were really the 73 wins team as they were advertised, then at least they shouldnt be struggling against the Thunder. Playoffs are very different games compared to regular season, the Hawks won 60 games too.

2016 Warriors. They were an elite defensive and offensive team. Nets are at best mediocre in the defensive end. They series would be a semi shootout with the Warriors pulling away in the end.

Tough call but if LeBron ends up beating both then he is the undisputed GOAT.

But they were good enough, they won 67 then the all time record of 73. This isn't even a matter of debate, you're arguing the factual results of them winning way more than 56 games b2b seasons.

Lebron has already lost the chance to be GOAT since 2007, any loss in the finals is enough to disqualify a player from GOAT conversation. So nope, no matter what Lebron does in his future career, his ceiling is #2 all time. Read these threads for more info:

So why did they struggle against BOTH Thunder and Cavs, never looked like a 73 wins team in the playoffs? Note they didnt just lose to the Cavs, they were almost beaten by the Thunder.

So the Lakers were the best team with most stacked rosters, its ring or bust season.

I'll go with a proven team. 2016 Warriors easy for now.

Gotta go warriors. Nets have better individual offensive talent but the warriors were a better team. Plus they played elite defense.

That Warriors team was overrated. They are basically like the 2006 Nets.
