lebron had a rough series prior to this game. i remember him looking HORRIFIC in games 1, 2 & 3 (credit to boston's great defense). that being said, this performance is one of MANY proving lebron's worth - the greatest G7/elimination player.

I have to agree. That Celtics team were a solid defensive team ala 2004 Pistons

He averaged 19 ppg on 26% through the first 4 games, which included the unfathomable 2/18 & 10 TO performance in Game 1, a game the Cavs somehow only lost by 4

Ilguaskas was better than Pippen.

good call. adjusted for pace, both had similar Def Rtgs. what made boston more dangerous though was their offense. they were top 10 in that regard (even better in the playoffs) while detroit was ranked #18.

if there was one decent thing about those cav teams, it was their defense. in that first game you mentioned, the final score was 76-72! had lebron played up to standard in just one of those, and they win, who knows what could've happened.

that boston team was also known to play down to their comp.

LeBron didn't really start being efficient in the playoffs until 2009.
