1) 6 rings is too much, so jordan's teammates must've been AMAZING with different stars taking over and winning games each night - the bulls were a super-team - that's why they won

2) Jordan just scored, while other guys did the passing, rebounding and defending

3) When the Bulls were losing to the dynasty Pistons, it was Jordan's fault because he hadn't learned to play unselfishly.. It wasn't because his cast was worse than the 05' Cavs on both sides of the ball.

4) Krause was a genius that always succeeded with or without Jordan and built a cast that fit perfectly with Jordan.. It wasn't a cast of role players that forced Jordan to have the goat production rate and win a completely unprecedented way (scoring champ carry-job).

5) Rodman was highly-coveted in 95' and wasn't considered a crazy problem child or abnormal non-scorer

6) Pippen was treated like a star - he wasn't ignored or not held accountable - everyone closely tracked his performance like they would any star and destroyed him whenever he wet the bed... And he wasn't blindly given accolades due to winning spotlight

2005 Cavs..... #12 defense
1990 Bulls..... #19 defense

^^^ in addition to an inferior defense, the 90' Bulls had a sidekick with worse offense than 05' Zydrunas (scoring, efficiency, PER and WS/48) - so Jordan nearly won the title with a worse cast than the 05' Cavs, whereas prime lebron needed a much better cast to be title-worthy

(#3 myth solved)

Another myth is about his strong work ethic. When he was young he was just a natural. He didn't start lifting weights until he had been in the league several years (he admitted this in his video Air Time). His offseason workouts consisted of golf, golf and more golf.

The scary thing is as much abuse OP takes on here he still keeps coming back. His existence is so pathetic on here I could only imagine what his real life is like that he decides to spend the majority of his day on ISH.

Kind of makes you wonder

This is true. He didn't actually work on his game in the off-season like one would think he did. Young Jordan appeared to take the summers off

That's what makes his handle, a lot of his moves, and improvement to the goat 2-point jumpshooter a remarkable testament to his talent, optimal physiological makeup and natural affinity for the game

It makes sense that the goat would be a natural... and assassin competitor - he took competing and practice (during the season) pretty seriously.

Another myth is Jordan didn't want to collude. He was close to leaving and joining Ewing. But marketing convinced him to stay.

Also the myth his father died by accident. Jordan's pride in not paying gambling debts cost his father his life

^^^ So he was forced to win without a super-team (rare) and with a true 2nd option (rarer):

* The only non-superteams to win in 3-pointer history were the 11' Mavs, 04' Pistons, 03' Spurs, 99' Spurs, 09' Lakers, 10' Lakers, 19' Raptors, 90's Bulls)...

* The only champion 2nd options that never achieved elite 1st option stats or FMVP (true 2nd options): Klay, Gasol, Pippen, Jason Terry, Rip Hamilton, Horry

No offense but trolling isn't your thing. :oldlol:

You have to truly believe the nonsense you are posting for the trolling to be effective.

And the 90s Rockets *

Which makes the 90s Bulls winning without a superteam (if you want to call it that) that much less impressive because every single champion in that decade did it.

Although it is a fact Jordan values money and is cheap.

More than anything he cared about his public image. The Bulls mgt used that against him because they knew he wouldn't complain publicly about being underpaid, which he was most of his career.

Prior to '97 he never made over $4 million/yr from his Bulls contract.

Nobody really did. Hot Rod Williams changed the script on contracts when he upped his to 10 mill. But 4 mill was standard for superstars and Jordan value was where I think should have been. Compared to his teammates though, he definitely hoarded the salary cap

in the 95/96 season

Jordan $3.8 million
Barkley $4.7 million
Hakeem $5.3 million
DRob $7.7 million

Jordan was clearly the best player and the biggest draw by a mile. Granted he made a ton off the court but as far as his Bulls contract he was way underpaid relative to his ability and popularity.

I'd have to look back but could retirement have had a factor?
Of course back then players don't have the leverage they have today. But in hindsight it looks lopsided. Back then the most popular wasn't necessarily the highest payed. I believe baseball was just as displaced
