No he can’t unless the team was extremely stacked with great ball movement

He was on the '04 Wolves, so yes.

He was on the '04 Wolves, so yes.

He averaged like 2 more points than Latrell Sprewell That team wasn’t contending for anything.

Do you truly believe that he wasn't a better scorer than Rip Hamilton or Chauncey Billups?

I believe in the post season his offensive play style was a lot easier to defend, resulting in him rarely outperforming his usual numbers.

If he wanted to, he could have been all time great. But settling for 20 foot fadeaways and not understanding when he needed to just go get his, led to both coming up bigger than he did in the post season.

So, yes.

He obviously had the skills offensively but just did not have that scorers mentality.

Billions put up 16/6 on 38% shooting and 35% from 3 in the 04 playoffs.....

this. people easily forget because truth outscored him in the finals. for that entire run though, as you said, kg led all scorers on the team (also led them in OBPM & offensive winshares).

Basketball is about sooooo much more than scoring. KG is one the most impactful players of all time. This is not a good metric to judge on.

KG was an great 2nd option, but pretty average first scoring option.

He literally never once scored more than 35 points in a playoff game.

Every other aspect of his game was great to ATG though.

I'm pretty sure Kawhi in 2019 playoffs easily had more 30 point games then KG's entire career, you probably can take the finals away and it's still true.

Maybe not offensively but he definitely had and could have the most impact. There's more to the game than just scoring.

The first year he left MN and past his prime he averaged the most PPG and RPG in the playoffs on a title winning team.

A team that had two other 20 point scorers KG averaged half a point more than Pierce. Isn’t close to when Duncan averaged 12 more points than his next best scorer in 03 and won the title.

KG's impact went far beyond scoring. Dude averaged 24/14/5 with elite defense during the 04 playoff run.

You sound like one of those people who'd argue Kobe over Duncan because he scored 50 more times.

So what you are saying is that a past his prime KG scored the most PPG and most RPG on a title winning team.

I wont even bring up his defense.

KG is one of the GOAT defenders. No surprise the first year he left MN he won a title.

Whole different debate, but don’t get started with that. Like Dennis and Isiah said, if Bird were white he’d have just been another guy. Preferential treatment for the rust belt hick.
