2009 cast was straight up garbage.
Craziest carry job I have ever seen.

His advanced stats in the playoffs were true goat tier
Check out his PER and PER/48 for example

2009 cast was straight up garbage... Craziest carry job I have ever seen.
09' Mo Will....'... 2.3 BPM.. 17.2 PER.. 0.165 WS/48.. 3.1 VORP.... #3 team defense
90' Pippen........ 1.8 BPM.. 16.3 PER.. 0.087 WS/48.. 3.0 VORP.. #19 team defense
So Jordan nearly won the title with a worse cast in 90', while Lebron lost to the 1-star Magic.
2009 cast was straight up garbage... Craziest carry job I have ever seen.
05' Zydrunas.... 17/9 and 2.1 blocks.. 19.5 PER.. 0.149 WS/48... #12 team defense.. lottery
90' Pippen........ 16/7 and 1.2 blocks.. 16.3 PER.. 0.087 WS/48... #19 team defense.. nearly won title
So the 90' Bulls nearly won the title with a worse cast than the 05' Cavs on both sides of the ball, whereas Lebron needed far better teams than the 05' Cavs to be title-worthy...
2009 cast was straight up garbage... Craziest carry job I have ever seen.
Lebron couldn't make the 2nd Round without a 2-time all-star center, the future COY, a 22/6/5 acquisition and a top rebounding team - that's easily enough to compete in a conference that 1-star teams routinely won.
Otoh, young Jordan played in a conference that required a super-team to win, yet he made the 2nd Round with a simple rebounder (oakley).
2009 cast was straight up garbage... Craziest carry job I have ever seen.
Ultimately, Jordan had a title-worthy team with a worse cast than the 05' Cavs, while Lebron needed super-teams to win, or he needed to be the pippen (20').....

Bron was a freak of nature that season. Think he still holds the record for Playoff PER too. That's crazy because it wasn't his peak and yet its above all of Mike's best.
If there's one thing regrettable about that season tho, its that Bron didn't face Kobe in the finals. His help decided to ghost in the ECF, and Orlando made just about every shot they took.

That team was fun to watch. That season was a time I'll never forget. Unbelievable.
But Mo Williams, Delonte West and Boobie Gibson were the main perimeter threats behind LeBron and that's just not sustainable. That supporting cast could legitimately be called garbage.

You could argue it was his peak tbh. 09 Bron is dropping absolutely STUPID numbers in today’s league I tell you that much.

You could numbers wise. To me, Bron was a more skilled and cerebral player in Miami. And in Cleveland part deux.

We can agree peak athletic Bron is annihilating this current league right?

Doesn't matter. He ruined the Kobe vs lebron finals. His only win was via a miraculous shot
But i guess some of you are grateful in hindsight
Wouldn't be able to live happy with a Kobe led team humiliating those Cavs and having to hear about it forever
I know yall grateful for Howard lol

He put up better numbers than Kobe against the Orlando Magic. It sucks Mo Williams disappeared in the playoffs, and not in the same level as Pau Gasol. 2012 and 2013 Heat would beat those Lakers team. The Late Kobe is a terrible, horrible, finals performer.

Thats right.. since he can """""""" guard one through five"""""""" big lol, he should've tried to cover Howard as a last resort. Didn't happen. Wonder why
Kobe did his part and was waiting. I guess lebron didn't want that smoke. We took care of orlando 4 - 1 , 66 wins was all smoke and mirrors

Lebron lacked the clutch or jumpshot needed to win the 2009 ECF because he shot 30% on jumpers in the 4th and lost 3 fourth quarter leads, which included getting dominated in the critical Game 4 OT that swung the series
No one talks about Dwight dominating him in the Game 4 OT that won the series - but critical junctures like this win series - see Game 3 OT of the 91' Finals.
In addition to weak clutch, Lebron's high scoring games result in over-dribbling, so he can't win series when he averages 35+
