back when they were teammates?

Some folks on Reddit and Twitter are getting their panties in a bunch because KD recently liked a tweet that suggested that KD was better than Curry in 2017 and 2018.

One can make a legitimate argument that KD was better than Curry both of those seasons.

However, KD haters are incapable of being objective and giving KD the credit that he deserves.

GOAT draymond "we don't need you, we won without you. You're a bitch"

That will go down as the defining moment of Durant's legacy and career.

They lost in 2016, and in 2015 it took them 6 games to beat a Cavs team that was missing Love and Kyrie (for most of the Finals).

The GSW clearly needed him in 2016, and there is no guarantee that they would have won another ring without KD.

Quit being a pathetic hater.

KD is someone who‘m people naturally hate because of his weak two-faced personality, OP.

I think that’s why.

Injury is apart of like 80% of rings

They won in 2015 and would of won in 2016 if draymond didn't get suspended. Now your turn Durant, what did you win with OKC?

Durant vs Curry is a tricky comparison. Durant is clearly the better defender of the two, at least when he wants to be. Offensively, Curry warps opposing defenses far more than Durant. This creates potential for explosive offense of a level Durant is unable to match. But Durant is the better scorer in high leverage moments where shots are difficult to come by. He has a better chance of getting a good shot off against the best defenders. That really helps in certain moments in the playoffs.

The Warriors did better with Durant out than with Curry put, and the Rockets nearly beat the Warriors in part by employing a defensive scheme that invited Durant to take shots. His individual scoring disrupted the Warriors offensive flow and nearly cost them the series. He was baited into going it alone rather than sticking with the system that led to their success and it nearly cost them the series.

I'd say Durant gives you a better shot in tight games, but also increases the chances that you'll be in a tight game. He's almost better in a Mariano Rivera closer role with Curry giving you a shot at a blow out with five homeruns. Of course if he has an off night, it's nice to know you have Rivera in the bullpen ready to close the game.

Good summary.

KD more likely to win you a finals game.

Curry better year-round, better offenses, do better with him than with KD, all advanced team stats in his favor.

But he‘s been little underwhelmed in carving out epic games and deciding series‘. KD was more kill shot as far as that goes, because he has a slightly more applicable game in highest stake/pressure/game planned situation.

KD and Russ got unlucky several times when they were teammates.

If OKC had been in GSW's position in the 2015 Finals, I definitely believe that they would have beaten the Cavs as well.
