Damn and still won 2 gold medals, no bronze medals turned a team into a dynasty with 2 three peats and for the team that drafted him along with 10 scoring titles, 5 league mvp's, 6 finals mvp's.

MJ lacked the all-star teammate that Lebron entered the league with
the all-star duo of Lebron/Zydrunas were lottery in 05', and needed to acquire a 22/5/5 all-defender and the future COY to make the playoffs in 06'..
That's easily enough help to compete in a conference that 1-star teams routinely won, while Jordan just had a rebounder (oakley) in a conference that required a super-team to win
Btw, you can't count Jordan's 2nd season because he was hurt .. but during his 3rd healthy season (88'), he made the 2nd Round like 3rd year Lebron (06').. in his 4th healthy season (89'), he was nearly beating the champs with a low seed (30 on 46%), while lebron's developed, high seed was getting swept (22 on 36%).
And from their 5th healthy season onwards, Jordan destroys lebron (6/6)

If we do a statistical breakdown of 85-87' Jordan vs 05-07' Lebron, we see that Jordan destroys Lebron, especially in the playoffs, but his team gets nowhere because he's carrying an accolade-less, 8 seed in a super-team conference, while Lebron has well-developed, high seeds in a 1-star team conference.

He didn't know how to play winning basketball without a coach that knew how to get him to play winning basketball. In college it was Dean Smith in the pros it was Phil Jackson. He also needed great teammates. In college it was James Worthy and Sam Perkins. In the pros it was Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant.
He had no idea how to win without those things in place.

Without Pippen the Bulls never make it out of the 1st round for the majority of jordans career, with the occasional 2nd round appearance sprinkled in every other few years.
It is quite amazing how much a player can alter another players career in such a drastic way.
Jordan would've retired ringless and stat heavy withouth Scottie. He'd be how James Harden is perceived now. Harden is actually the more impressive regular season player, more skilled, multi-dimensional... overall better than Jordan but that's besides the point. They're close enough as players to make that comparison

Pippen became great due to playing with Jordan, he even said so himself.

Pippen, unlike other Bulls who usually kept their distance from Jordan, tried to learn all he could from Jordan in practice. In turn, Jordan worked with Pippen on his moves, jump shot, and defense and taught him mental toughness.
Pippen relates on how his game improved - Link (http://www.nba.com/bulls/news/jordanhof_pippen_090910.html)
http://www.nba.com/media/bulls/jordanpippen_090910.jpg
“He was very competitive, so he went at me and that helped me learn,” said Pippen. “You continue to compete against the very best every day, and you will get better, or you’ll be embarrassed.”
“I went to a small school, so I had to be a jack of all trades and master a few,” said Pippen. “Defense was one thing I was really able to work at and get better.
“A lot of my instincts came from guarding Michael all the time in practice,” he added. “I had four other guys on my team, but I had schemes that I would throw out there depending on what he did. I’d say, ‘If I make Michael do this, then you go trap him.’ There were things I tried to do on defense to trigger him into a
mistake. He was a great player, and if you couldn’t try it on him in practice, there was nowhere else to try it.”
Pippen realized himself that going against MJ is what made him better.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-krausejordan090909
“Michael was great at identifying things,” Krause said. “Would Pippen have been great someplace else? Michael absolutely killed Scottie in practice every day for his first two years. Mike just tore Pip up. He made Pip learn how to compete and forced him into playing hard. Had there not been someone to challenge Scottie like that, I’m not sure what would’ve happened to him.”

Sounds pretty par for the course. Young player learns from veteran teammate, surpasses said teammate, wins rings
Mahomes sat behind Alex smith for a year and 'learned from him'. Became a better player in the process
Nobodies giving Alex smith a career boost because of that. Jordan doesn't get brownie points for common veteran guidance.

Harden is actually the more impressive regular season player, more skilled, multi-dimensional... overall better than Jordan but that's besides the point. They're close enough as players to make that comparison
Great comparison as if the other side of the court didn't exist. One of the best perimeter defenders of all time compared to a guy who can't defend his mother even if she's getting assaulted....

Jordan just needs Pippen to win 6 rings in 6 finals.
Lebron needs Shaq, Wade, Bosh, Allen, Irving, Love, Rose, Davis, Howard to win 4 rings in 10 finals.

MJ would've been 29 when he won his 1st playoff series without Scottie Pippen

Without Pippen the Bulls never make it out of the 1st round for the majority of jordans career, with the occasional 2nd round appearance sprinkled in every other few years.
It is quite amazing how much a player can alter another players career in such a drastic way.
Jordan would've retired ringless and stat heavy withouth Scottie. He'd be how James Harden is perceived now. Harden is actually the more impressive regular season player, more skilled, multi-dimensional... overall better than Jordan but that's besides the point. They're close enough as players to make that comparison
Jordan without Pippen... geez these are really profound thoughts here...
While we're taking things away let's take away the game ball too and see how far player X goes.
Can we take away Lebrons teammates too? Probably not.

Take any teammate away. His career is still GOAT.
See what I mean? MJ has a fragile career, shackled to Pippen.

Thats the problem, lebron had so much help, you can take one and he still has squad thanks to his advance colluding skills. Your comment did not help his cause

False
LeBron won with ANYONE because he is elite.
LeBron didn't need any one player.
Jordan clearly did. He relied on Pippen.
Keep up.

Lebron just needed to join 2 team captains from other teams. TWICE. To go 2/4 and then 1/3
And we are supposed to be impressed haha what a joke

Shooter speaks the truth.
Jordan career too short and needed 1 man too much to break .500 wins.

+1
Jordan's career is fragile. It can be erased by removing just one teammate.
