Biden (or some smart fella working for him) keeps putting bad PR to folks like Harris and Buttigieg to neuter them as rivals for the 2024 ticket (I hope you all saw Petey fake bike-riding into a transportation photo-op and getting caught on camera pulling the bike out of the back of an SUV). It's a good strategy, and I'm a fan of it when it is deployed against Neoshitlibs like them. Biden has been much better on domestic policy than I expected. Foreign policy is still very evil.

You have to pay close attention to sus out the consequences of the deals that were made during the primary. The candidates that were convinced to drop out to make sure Bernie lost are getting their rewards...but they are poisoned. Meanwhile, Sanders had the best exit strategy of any of them. He's essentially the most powerful senator right now outside of the two dopes (Manchin and Sinema) that are playing both sides.

I'm a registered Republican (I had to register to vote in the primaries years ago for a family friend), but I voted Dem. I think this situation is pretty funny, because Harris is the stereotypical rabid political climber, so watching her get sandbagged is fun. The Biden administration is still deporting a ton of folks, and she gets to be the face of it lol.

In an April 27 fact-check, the Washington Post debunked the claim that federal officials were handing out Harris’ book to migrant children. Other fact-checkers have also said the claim is wrong.

Yep. I'd also like to know how many people have died trying to cross. How many children have lost their lives. I'd also like to know the financial burden and strain these mass migrations puts on our economy. We have homeless people on the streets in record numbers now. Homeless Americans. In Liberal cities. Not a peep or a care in the world for these people. We must address the plight of the migrant instead. We must take them in. We don't care where they go, so long as they're here.

Yes it's an issue. I am opposed to open borders too.

I would say America should move some manufacturing from China to Mexico and Latin America to improve conditions there. It would give people more incentive to stay in Mexico and Latin America. Let 50k-75k refugees in each year (let's go with 65k so I don't have to keep typing "50k-75k"). I think we can handle that but turn everyone else away, regardless of whether it's a child or not. Turn them away. They are welcome to camp on the Mexican side of the border if they wish, but do not let more than 65k in annually. That is 650k per decade, which is fine imo.

You don't have to do anything. Just setup road blocks and shut it down. Create a single large administrative building in nearby city for processing refugee applications for the entire border. For people sneaking across the border, I have been saying for years to use technology and drones to keep track of them and double-layered fence with law enforcement jeep patrols at random between the fence. Keep sending them back and stay tight with that 65k limit.
