Only player in the history of the NBA who i've seen that averages 6 points a game, yet seeks the give teammates advice and direction all the time. Any player who averages 6 PPG unless he is at the end of his career and was a great player in his prime, shouldn't even have post game interviews.

Green is a "normal" player who just go happened to have played on great teams.

I'm degusted at a sub 8 PPG player giving veteran advice and getting technical fouls. Your not going to make up the point difference for those technical free throws scrub so keep your mouth shut.

Yes he does. He's also way better than most give him credit for.

To answer the question yeah he does but you don't always have to score to impact the game. Green, rodman and ben wallace were all players than Don't score but can impact the game as much as anyone.

His prime in playoffs he's like a 15 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal type of player with dominant defense. He has the length of a 7 foot center but is actually mobile and will not be a liability on switches. Pretty much like a Scottie Pippen type player. He's very very good.

Gotta give him props for playing way better defense than his first scoring option. And for laughs, his dirty donkey plays back then.

Dray has 19 dimes tonight, 12 rebounds, and good defense. I've never seen a player hunt assists like this before with such low scoring, but golden state is the 1st ranked assist team and if you watch them they swing the ball a ton.

dam, what a shame, he has to carry his team in playmaking and defense because the team "superstar" can't play defense or playmake at an elite level :(

People really don’t get how basketball works if they don’t understand why Dray is so valuable. He gets that the best offense in the world would be if they could design a system where Steph shoots every single play. He’s maximizing the value of the offense by not shooting and by trying to actively find someone else to shoot. And he’s an insanely good passer so generally his lack of shooting is okay.

Its same reason Steph doesn’t guard the other teams center. It’s not winning basketball. His passing is contagious and it gets guy who have been notorious ball stoppers their entire careers like Oubre or Wiggins to actively look for the better play before just isolating themselves. It’s truly insane the impact he has and it sucks he doesn’t get more recognition for it.

Same with Looney. Rarely have i seen a more impactful player. Basketball teams are best when their are clear defined roles and with Curry, Dray, and Looney it’s some of the most defined well oiled team play the league has ever seen. It’s why with a healthy Klay, and significantly better depth they were able to win 73.

What does your scoring average have to do with that? Maybe he just doesn't have the natural talent that some of his teammates have.

How did Pop's NBA career go?

Defenses trapping Curry affords Dray wide open QB opportunities all game long... on top of being an elite assist target (WR) for him. Perhaps the best ever due to his route running and quick release. Chef did score more points than anybody in this game with 32... Dray scored 2 points. The Dubs had 40 assists... they are diming more than any team in the history of the NBA.

Dingo mode was activated in the middle of the 4th when jokic and curry came back at the same time and the nugs got iced with a 22-9 run sparked by you know who.

Don't be mad bro.

Seriously...saying that Dray can't throw knowledge at his teammates because he only scores 8 PPG or whatever is like saying that a fan can't talk basketball (or any sport) because their team sucks. It's a weak argument.

He's always been an intelligent player, but has lacked the natural gifts relative to most of his peers. Dude went to 2 final fours with Izzo, one as the lead dog. He knows ball.

So his performance should be worthy enough for more orange blimps in the future.

He's a bigger Rondo who plays better the more talent there is around him. He'd be paid like Rondo too if he wasn't teammates with greatest player in NBA history (Curry) and greatest shooting guard in NBA history (Klay).

Draymond Green is a great, great player and super smart - one of the smartest players in the league - and his impact sometimes has nothing to do with statistics. His scoring average is irrelevant.
