and tried to quit against the pacers in game 7 untill Hill and Love saved his ass.

When LeBron went to the locker room in Game 7, all seemed lost for Cleveland's chances at advancing to the next round. But the Cavs' role players stepped up in The King's absence to help seal a narrow win.

BY ROB MAHONEY , APR 29, 2018

CLEVELAND—In the heat of Game 7, LeBron James disappeared. He vanished down the tunnel with a trainer in tow

"They bought LeBron minutes," Cavs coach Ty Lue said.

At one point, James was stationed at the scorer's table, ready to return—until a three-pointer from Love encouraged him to ride out the run from the bench. “We was able to get stops, too," James said. "That helped. That helped out a lot.” In almost five minutes of action, those supporting Cavs—fairly maligned through what had been a trying series—increased the lead from two to eight. Cleveland would go on to win by four, 105-101, to stave off the Pacers and save its season.

Pure facts. Always getting bailed out by someone.

Fact: Lebron has still NOT won a full season NBA title without a bailout shot by a teammate.
2012: Strikeout shortened season
2013: Ray Allen Bailout
2016: Kyrie Irving game winner game 7 / 41PPG on 71% shooting. Some sidekick!
2020: Shortened bubble asterisk* season, beat up on 5th seed Heat missing 2 starters.

2018 LeBron was also the only player in NBA history to score 30 ppg and 50% FG for every single playoff series.

No one else has ever done this. Ever.

2018 LeBron also set the highest PER record thru the Finals in NBA history. 32.2

We know he's great at stats.

He quit on his team in game 7 after complaining about his failed superteam expirement ďuring the season and trading half the team.

Was it cramps or something? I remember watching this and knew people would try to act like it never happened.

Guess he made the wrong trades that season? Still saved his ass when he decided to visit the locker room in the 4th during a game7. Took his time too, was it cramps or? Not happy with those teammates maybe? Just like he was earlier that season when he shipped those big names out.

I know but why almost throw it away? Going to the locker room during a game 7 for something that wasn't THAT serious? And why trade half the team for shooters in the first place, and then complain about their production? Why pretend this never happened?

Here's my theory:

He knew it was his last season in Cleveland, needed shooters instead of veteran all stars for more freedom and stats.. and i believe he ultimately did not want to go to the finals because of the Warriors and his finals record. In the end he could only blame jr smith and his "broken" hand.

I wonder what's worse, lebron trying to sabotage that game 7 to not face KD.. or switching on that KD pick?

Or pretending like jr lost the series and throwing him under the bus.

Or his broken hand?

Interesting season, we should talk about it more.

LeBron haters are completely mentally broken. Resorting to trying to diminish a legendary post season. At this point if LeBron was playing literally 1v5 and managed to only lose 90-100, they'd not only dismiss it, but treat it as evidence that LeBron is fundamentally flawed mentally and in his basketball skills.

Their critiques often boil down to "if we ignore everything good he did, maybe there will be something to criticise".

My man i know i'm team Kobe and that you have troubles staying focused, but this isn't about Kobe.

Why did lebron have to go to the locker room? And took his time? Why has this never been talked about? Game 7, 4th quarter?

I think my theory is pretty close to the truth. Traded for personal stats and tried to miss the finals because of his "weak" supporting cast that he handpicked himself and because he wanted to leave as the hero with great stats who didn't have enough help. He knew Warriors and KD were going to win and him receiving another finals loss was not an option in his mind. Blaming JR Smith and his broken hand because George Hill and Kevin Love ruined his plan against the Pacers.

Ok...

So if that was his mindset...why wouldn’t he have done the same in another game 7 in the conference finals? Why would he quit in the first round? If what you say is true, you’d think he’d want to at least show that he can carry a team past the first round.
