Two stars. Too short. Too soon to go all the way.

The season is not finished, it hasn't been as successful as people expected, but let's see how they do in the post-season.

The Celtics are ESPN's home team, overhyped with too much publicity for what they have actually accomplished on the floor. They are a playoff team but not ready to contend for a title and could be upset in a playin scenario.

ESPN doesn't care about the Celtics. They are in Connecticut not Massachusetts.

Underwhelming is definitely the word. What's worse, they haven't been all that much fun to watch.

The Celtics are ESPN's home team.
Incorrect. ESPN sits in SW Connecticut, which might as well be a suburb of NYC. No one out there cares about or listens to Boston sports. All you get for sports radio out there is WFAN and ESPN Radio.

ESPN has been deliberately antagonistic towards all Boston teams since Bob Kraft dropped his idea of moving the Pats to Hartford in 1998.

I,m talking from the standpoint of trying to prop up and elevate an average team. There is always write up on why the Celtics are underachieving or every possible free agent is rumored to go to Boston.
They are covered like its the days of Red Arbauch or Larry Bird They have a nice young core but areare average in 2021. I know the Celtics are a big market team but the coverage on ESPN is way over board to me.

They just made the conference finals for the third time in for years and have two Allstars. They are going to get some attention. But it's not like they're the team on TV the most or their stars are being spoken of as MVP candidates. Your complaint isn't being quantified and the Celtics aren't just going to be ignored.
