View Full Version : The Masked vs the Maskless. Here is an ironic scenario that could happen.

Wow. Imagine this scenario. It will be so ironic. Imagine that in restaurants, concerts, sports, that the vaccinated get their own section and the unvaccinated get their own section too. The Dodgers are already starting to do this. They have a vaccinated section.

Now just imagine this. All the vaccinated people start to get all their privileges back with other vaccinated people. Not only free Krispy Kremes, but they also get to take their masks off and not social distance. Meanwhile, if the unvaccinated want to come, they have to be in their own section, wearing masks and socially distanced.

That would be so ironic! The ones that don't want to wear masks would be the only ones that would be required to wear masks! So anytime you see someone with a mask, you know they aren't vaccinated haha.

So now the unvaccinated will have to make a choice! The joke is on them. Either they get the vaccine or they are the only ones who social distance and wear a mask everywhere outside, except for exercise. That would soooo EPIC! And it's a great idea. Oh... the irony.

you're living in fantasy land, op. you can't incentivize people like that. you can't force vaccinations upon people with the promise of giving them their lives back with the accompanied message that 'the world will go on without you' if you don't get the shot.

vaccination rates are already declining, and the j&j fiasco isn't helping. once mass vaccinations really start settling down a month or so from now, there's no reason to fully open the country. even from the most liberal mindset it only makes sense to... vaccinations are supposed to be the end game, so there's no more fauci & company bullshitting about mini lockdowns, masks and social distancing at that point.

There's no reason to fully open the country? That's what I'm saying. It would only be open to the vaccinated. The unvaccinated made their own choice. Doesn't that make sense? You said it best. The world goes on without you if you make that your choice.

Are you vaccinated? If you wanted you could hang with the mask people.

What about this scenario, since the vaccinated group lets their guard down, they get other sickness because they are living a more filthy lifestyle than the masked people. Something worse than the corona might pop up and start decimating the free people before they realize.

Not seeing it. How do you tell the vaccinated people from those who aren't? They have a card? I've gotten both my shots, and I have cards that show both vaccines. My name isn't on them, my picture isn't on them, the only thing they show is the vaccine that I received , the date of the shot, and the location where I was vaccinated. There's no personal information on them. I could hand the cards off to my brother or my nephew or hell, my cat, and they'd all have "proof" that they have been vaccinated.

If you pressed me, I could probably counterfeit those cards in under an hour, assuming I had suitable card stock on hand. Anti-Vaxxers are not going to let you relegate them to a separate section or discriminate against them because they're convinced that it's their right to refuse to be vaccinated. And while I agree with that, they also feel that they shouldn't be discriminated against just because they're smarter than the rest of us sheeple. They absolutely will make or buy fake vaccination cards so that they don't have to socially distance any more, don't have to wear masks, or any of that nonsense.

Yea, there are vaccine passports, right? I'm thinking that you will have to show your proof via your phone in something like Apple Wallet. Something like that. The Dodgers have a vaccinated section. Many workplaces require a vaccine. Colleges are requiring proof of vaccination.
So businesses can require to show that you have proof. Maybe not grocery stores. But for sure restaurants will have to have some kind of rule. All nonessential businesses. Show your phone or a piece of paper. Now if you get got lying, you get a ticket and it's a crime.

Look, people thought it would be a joke to wear a mask and then it happened. Now vaccination will become the new masks.

There are vaccine passports. Showing your proof via something like Apple Wallet excludes all those people who don't own a smartphone. Namely the elderly and the poor. The Dodgers have a vaccinated section. Just how stringent do you think they're being with that requirement? Are they double-checking every person who goes in? Or is more of a these people say they're all vaccinated so now we can pack this section 100% and don't have to worry about social distancing sort of thing?

Workplaces require a proof of vaccine. Once again, what "proof" are they requiring? Oh, you've got a couple of cards that you got from your Dad that say you're vaccinated? And you really need a job? Then let us pack you into this phone bank here, with dozens of other people who are also vaccinated. If I were feeling litigious, I might also argue that not hiring people who aren't vaccinated is age discrimination, since as of right now the vaccines are going to the segments of our population that are older and/or at high risk. Damn it, you won't hire me because I'm young and healthy! I'm gonna sue!

Like I said before. Right now, I have two pieces of cardstock that "prove" that I've been vaccinated. Neither of them has any information to connect them to me personally. I could give them to my cat and my cat would have proof that he's been vaccinated. By the same token, if I were to lose my pieces of cardstock, I would have no way to prove that I've been vaccinated. A business maybe be able to require proof of vaccination before they serve a customer, but I take that "proof" with a grain of salt.

You're really overthinking this. There are people that work for companies that require vaccination. And universities require it too. You can't just fake it. That is breaking the law and is serious.
