i'm not sure i like that we focus on 3pt shooting so much, it's hyperfocus on 3pt shooting. our defense gets lazy bc we're trying to run back to jack up more 3s. we're a horrible rebounding team for that same reason too.
it's nice when they go in, but we're putting less effort on fundamentals like rebounding and we do a poor job at closing out on 3s.

Laughable that people were trying to compare Ayton to David Robinson when he was coming into the league. He doesn’t have half his talent and isn’t anywhere close to the athlete Big Dave was. His defense is average as hell for a center.

Scouting reports and such. It never made any sense as he isn't close to as athletic as Robinson was which would be a key component of being compared to him.
The flippers will fall early in the playoffs

his athleticism was oversold for sure, i remember arguing during the draft that the obvious pick should be Luka and all I would hear from Ayton apologists was "he's a once in a generation athletic 7 footer" "he has a 42" vertical"
bs. guy loves to stay below the rim and he's not exactly dunking out of the gym like Amar'e was. he may have a good vert but it's almost useless because he can't use it in a meaningful way. and even if he did, he doesn't have the motor to make full use of his talents. zero tenacity. he'll always be limited because he doesn't want it enough. he'll still be good, but never close to being the #1 option. i still doubt he can be a #2 on a contending team. at this rate, book and mikal bridges will continue to be the most important players to the team.

How high you get up matters a lot less than how quickly you do ie explosion. Ayton has no explosion whatsoever.

for the time being, sure. as soon as he starts declining significantly, he won't be. pisses me off we drafted a forward who was nowhere near being NBA ready over Haliburton who is thus far starting to seem like a hell of a point guard prospect.

yep, zero fast twitch muscles.
and add butter fingers to that and you have a center who has problems catching the ball in the paint.

The Clippers cut their lead down to less than 5 like three times.

Suns have zero chance vs the top boys of the West. Clippers might have the best depth in the league, along with the Nets.

Well you must not consider the Jazz a top boy team then, because the Suns are a matchup nightmare for them.
