View Full Version : Have you ever had a dream so vivid you couldn’t accept it wasn’t a message?

It’s 2:43 central time and I just woke up in my air bnb in New Orleans after the wildest most intricate “dream” of my life. The world ended....kinda. Aliens came in a ship but never revealed themselves only changed my perception of the world around me. We were asked via message in the sky to turn over someone to them and the world was prepared to do it....but I don’t think we did it on time. Earth was somehow wiped free of technology and wandering the resulting plains(America was back to what it was before people) I watched my family die but only because I was outside the time they were experiencing somehow. They didn’t die they were just kinda reabsorbed by the earth instantly and I was suddenly large enough to dig my hands into the earth and try to get them back while watching the earth they changed into keep going through the changes of time.

Im talking hills rising and falling....cosmic events unfolding that I was too focused on getting them back to really pay attention to.

Whole time a constant companion I couldn’t identify was kinda guiding me to understand what matters. But I was too caught up in grief to really....get it.

After what felt like years....back and forward through time...I mean I’m watching Earth right next to Jupiter billions of years ago somehow...but I’m still upset about my family I couldn’t dig out of the earth and get back.

Then I’m home. But not my current home. I was in my grandmothers yard 30+ years ago and was so excited I was back and could go see everyone I start running towards the house and discovered I could...kinda fly. I was excited about that as well and flew towards the house and I was instantly zapped back to where I arrived. I was standing before a till then unseen creature who I can’t even describe who was so disappointed and frustrated. All he said was “Youre not ready or youre not smart enough” and I got the sense he meant “You” as in all of us.

But maybe he meant me because he added “You still made it all about you” as if I’d missed the whole point of this journey through time and didn’t take the message. He motioned me away and I woke up with my eyes full of tears in the bed with the whole experience slipping away.

Its the trippiest thing I’ve ever experienced and I’m so ****ed up about it. I’m not sure I didn’t meet and spectacularly fail god. I think my experience was to give me greater understanding or something and the first thing I did when I had power was to use it to go back to a happier personal time instead of whatever the being wanted me to do with it.

I have never been more sober or clear headed. I’m on no medication. I write all that l knowing it makes no sense and people will mock it....because I’m scared to lose it.

If thats the kinda shit people experience when they are near death and come
back and say there is an afterlife I absolutely understand it.

If that was a dream I had no idea they could be that vivid.

Have you ever had one so clear and so out of the usual you just couldn’t let it go?

I can’t get my head around it. I know I’ll be laughed at but don’t care. I need to know if any of you have been through shit that trippy.

Never had supernatural message to the real world or anything from dreams

I use to get the inception type dreams from 5yh grade until about the mid college. Where i'd have the usual awkward PG rated dream setting with a female I knew IRL, forget all about it, wake up and then when i'd see them the following time or whenever my attraction would increase crazily for that one chick and i'd vividly recall the dream again. This happened with teachers, fat chicks, nerdy chicks. I started getting obsessed watching self hypnosis stuff then I just chalked it up to puberty. I

Never get those heavy squirts of growth hormone anymore, I can't reach REM unless I take sedatives/benzo/seroquel or OD from calories on thanksgiving.

Dreams are "your" existence trying to make sense of itself and teach you and or prepare you for something.

What's more likely? That aliens sent this message to you? Or that your brain is desperately trying to emotionally accept or emotionally fight against the idea that death leads to potential permanent separation/nonexistence.

It may not be this specific, but it's also possible that you might be subconsciously aware of the fact that you're about to lose a loved one.

I can only surmise based off of your post that you do not believe in the idea of an afterlife.

Sounds like a NDE. yes I do believe when we die all time ceases to exist how we currently percieve it, and it can move much faster, backwards and forwards.

The mystics say that nostalgia is a foretaste of heaven. The only thing wrong with it is not seeing that it opens up to something bigger than itself.

John Henry Newman writes:

"And hence perchance it is, that years that are past bear in retrospect so much of fragrance with them, though at the time perhaps we saw little in them to take pleasure in; or rather we did not, could not realize that we were receiving pleasure, though we received it. We received pleasure, because we were in the presence of God, but we knew it not; we knew not what we received; we did not bring home to ourselves or reflect upon the pleasure we were receiving; but afterwards, when enjoyment is past, reflection comes in. We feel at the time; we recognize and reason afterwards. Such, I say, is the sweetness and softness with which days long passed away fall upon the memory, and strike us. ... Such are the feelings with which men often look back on their childhood, when any accident brings it vividly before them. Some relic or token of that early time, some spot, or some book, or a word, or a scent, or a sound, brings them back in memory to the first years of their discipleship, and they then see, what they could not know at the time, that God's presence went up with them and gave them rest. Nay, even now perhaps they are unable to discern fully what it was which made that time so bright and glorious. They are full of tender, affectionate thoughts towards those first years, but they do not know why. They think it is those very years which they yearn after, whereas it is the presence of God which, as they now see, was then over them, which attracts them. They think that they regret the past, when they are but longing after the future. It is now that they would be children again, but that they would be Angels and would see God; they would be immortal beings, crowned with amaranth, robed in white, and with palms in their hands, before His throne."

I do occasionally have dreams that really astonish me with how vivid they are and how real they feel.

Most of them involve Lebron tbh.

It's probably best if I don't elaborate.

Dreams itself are a fascinating topic...

I thought I had like 5-7 very vivid dreams I could call upon from years back, now as weeks have passed I noticed this number is more like 20-25 dreams... Whenever I lay in bed one after the other can pop up if you try to look for them, and you just have such a clear vision of what happened in them and how it looked yet they're impossible to re-tell...

I dont know if I dreamed those dreams more often than once or if they just stuck for what they were or when they happened.

Only happened once. I'll start off by saying I know for a fact that I have dreams but 99.9% of the time I forget what happened in them a few minutes after I wake up.

The .01% was a dream I had two weeks after I got married. The dream involved me and a woman I worked with a decade ago having the most intense, gratifying, cardio-intense sex either of us had ever had. This was a woman who I was work-friendly with only...a woman who I cannot recall ever once having a single erotic or romantic thought about in the entire time we worked together and to whom I haven't spoken since leaving that job.

For whatever reason, my brain decided that we were going to f*ck each other's brains out in my dream that night, two weeks after marrying the woman I love deeply and have great sex with. That freaked me out and for a split second I had a "Holy shit, did I make a mistake here?" An hour later I was over it but still.

Of course it has meaning.

It is only problematic because it was a private, subjective, experinence. In these times, experiences such as these are discounted and disregarded by most people. This was not always the case and should not be the case. People have to appreciate their subjective experiences and the intense inner existence that resides within all of us. Hell yeah it is meaningful: For you. You have to figure out the symbols and interpret the message. Nobody else. can.

Thousands and thousands of askreddit threads talking about all the supernatural, paranormal, unexplainable shit people have experienced.

I’ve had some strange sleep paralysis experiences but other than that nothing. But all those accounts, similar to yours of hyper-realistic dreams involving dead loved ones are common.

I pretty much believe in all of it. Afterlife, ghosts, demons, and the biggest one to me is the insane, absolutely insane amount of reincarnation claims. Entirely based on people 2-4 year olds recounting past lives in explicit details.

Electromagnetic fields can pretty much explain how it’s possible people have insane dreams, meet other people in lucid dreams, time travel, etc. not in detail obviously, but if I have my own electromagnetic field, and earth has a one giant one, I just find it believable a consciousness to bounce off all that energy. Not in detail, but it just sound feasible to me.

Anyway, the CIA got 17 years of actual funding for psychic studies. Like brought it to several different congress’ over the years and got them to approve funding for something so insane sounding through PROOF and EVIDENCE to people who need to keep their standing with the public to stay elected. 17 years of that. This world is probably multiple times more insane than we think. I mean life itself is insane and rare as it is. Why would it all stop completely?

Scientist since somewhere in the late 00’s have been making more and more claims that should really be more recognized as insane.

Especially physicists.

Neurophysicists are starting to believe consciousness is a stored energy. And we know energy can’t be destroyed.

https://www.labroots.com/trending/neuroscience/18980/theory-consciousness-arises-electromagnetic-energy

And this what my brains connects:

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/solar-storms-might-throw-migrating-whales-course-180974278/

It’s very likely whales use the Earths magnetic field to travel.

Now, if a human being consciously possessed the ability to know where he is without seeing it and even sensing his surroundings, it would 100000% be called psychic claims. And that’s EXACTLY what Project Stargate the CIA ran pretty much consisted of. “Remote Viewing”. Being able to see different parts of the planet LIVE while locked in a room.

I really believe the entire universe is much more insane than we can comprehend. And much more than we’re supposed to be able to comprehend. We’re just dumb apes. I’m gonna try and go eat some dumb bitches **** right after this. That’s why ghosts and the paranormal terrify our primitive brains. Why would we ever evolve to comprehend stuff like this?

It’s like when a dog is afraid of thunder.

And btw, I don’t believe the afterlife to be heaven or hell. I think it’s all chaos. That’s what I’ve come to believe after a year of really looking into this shit. Complete chaos, exactly like your dream. It’s not as defined as earth, but I do believe consciousness goes on in some insane way we can’t comprehend fully.

Nothing worse than someone talking about their dreams. You say you had a weird dream? Well tell me when you have a normal one. Sorry KBlaze. Lol.
