Seems like in his highlight reels he's dunked on top of any big that got in front of him - attacking the opposing teams often times HOF caliber rim protectors as if they had a target on their back. No doubt he was hunting for those kind of plays to have so many of them. Is he the last superstar that played the game with this level of aggression towards the opposing teams rim protectors? I see a lot of big time plays still today from the crop of players right now but I don't know what players today have gotten as numerous a collection of the "best" opposing bigs in a poster as Kobe had.

I could be totally wrong so feel free to share the guys with the biggest collection of posters playing right now if they compare to Kobe or mention other guys more recent than Kobe.

Ja Morant has a similar drive mentality. For a PG he really is gifted athletically

Didnt Zion just try to dunk on the joker for the game winner but get his ass blocked?

Kobe played in an era where the paints were clogged, so players needed to have more of a killer mentality to finish in the lane PERIOD, let alone smash on someone

So yeah, guys went up WAY stronger in prior eras because the paint had more defenders

Otoh, today's players enjoy an open paint, so they go up weaker on average.. if today's players were transported back to previous eras, everyone would marvel how weak they go up and how they're "SOFT"!!! fans would be yelling that all the time
