From the subreddit old leaks (RUMOR):
The next Battlefield is simply called BATTLEFIELD.

It will be set in near future and is a sequel to BF4.

The game will have drone and robot warfare elements but the game will be overall modern and more grounded to reality.

The game will be about a conflict between US and Russia.

You play as a special soldier and your specialist unit consists of soldiers from the other fallen superpowers that are not from USA/Russia.

The game will have a Battle Royale.

The game has a campaign and it might feature co-op experience instead of traditional singleplayer.

Players will still be able to play as the 4 different types of soldiers, but instead of just having unique gadgets, players will also have different “abilities”, which are similar to Call of Duty perks.

The robotic dog in the game which is like Boston Dynamics Mule can run really fast and potentially has a weapon on it. But it looks like it could be a new vehicle type instead of a gadget.

Game will also feature 128 player all out military warfare. It will be scaled down to 64 player match on old gen consoles considering that majority of people still own the 8th gen consoles.

The Reveal Trailer currently looks similar to that of BFV, which means it doesn't show any actual gameplay snippets and is mostly cinematic.

Gameplay is just like traditional boots on the ground combat with some robots/drones to "assist" you, like they would in real life. No wall running, no laser, no crazy stuff.

Besides explosions, buildings can be damaged by various forces of nature like Tornado, floods, earthquake etc. which seem to suggest dynamic weathers are in the game.

Battlefield is a more accurate representation of 2030's military combat compared to Final Stand. So there will no hover tanks or Rail guns.

BATTLEFIELD IS NOT SCI-FI. All weapons included in the game are those which are currently in development/prototype stage.

I doubt PS4/XB1 could even handle 128 players. But they did fine with 100 on COD

i hope bf6 makes them reign supreme again, kinda getting tired of COD and how they cave in to the adderall fueled kids with OP weapons and silly game dynamics. you mean to tell me that if i get the drop on an enemy and shoot them first, they have an advantage bc they simply jump in the air? that's all? zero care for bullet drop and effective range. mp5's have zero recoil and can get you from across the map :facepalm cod is all about the instant dopamine in the cheapest form (easy kills).

battlefield caters to a more mature crowd because they take these things into effect. you have to hunt down your enemy and be skilled with your weapon, highly unlikely to get one shot one kills unless you headshot. can't get someone from across the map with a sub machine gun.

Yeah COD time to kill tends to favor an easier learning curve and this was their first game with distance so snipers practical had no drop.

Battlefield has had 20 years to perfect gun balance and bullet speed/drop on massive sized maps. The only way they **** this game up is if they slow drip content like BFV, with only 8 maps at release. That game as a service model was shit for both bfront 2 and bfield 5. I rather have the paid DLC's like 1 and 4

Funny how the JF, Aculite, Stod were the first to really upload a steady flow of BF and FPS games on Youtube back when it was niche to watch someone game online and unpopular streams before Twitch was even invented, like 2009. i was right. in portal servers they don't count your XP towards weapon progression because you play against AI....:facepalm
