Because now we've got 20 teams making it to the post-season versus 16. Skews the way we look at them since the qualifications for 'post-season' birth is no longer the same.

No, you're playing to get into the playoffs. You're not actually in the playoffs yet. If you lose, your seasons over.

Might have to make a separate category for the play in games.

Would big games in the losers bracket count as iconic tho?

Since it's an experimental format, I think it would be cool if they didn't keep stats for the play-in games at all. Just... record points for each team whenever they score. And obviously keep track of fouls etc. But no stats on points, rebounds, assists, blocks.

Just team vs team.

would assume the rs, since they're qualies to make the postseason. since those teams play more games, though, numbers should be in a separate category.

Play in games are considered playoff games. Actually they are listed as “post season” games on NBA.com. Go to nba.com and then click “play in faqs” and it gives u all the details about the play in games.

I agree with this. For example, Curry shouldn't be able to add to his post season personal stats if his team doesn't even end up making it to the playoffs. Same for Lebron James.

I agree about Curry, but not about Lebron.
