The last 3 MVPs have been non-american
The NBA is transitioning into a worldwide sport, there is more non American talent now than there ever has been

Jokic
Giannis
Doncic

Assuming Gobert wins DPOY as well it would be the fourth consecutive year where a non American has won the award

The award has been meaningless for a while. Same old shit. Guy wins, chokes in playoffs, people acknowledge LeBron probably should have won it.

Yawn.

Tatum will win one in 2-3 years.

Zion will win one in 3-5.

Tatum will win one in 2-3 years.

Zion will win one in 3-5.

I think both Tatum and Zion are Tier 2 stars. Great players that aren't quite MVP level. For some reason, Tatum has too many cold spells, and you can't win MVP when you let your team down so often. I think Zion's game is a little too one dimensional (though one could argue the same about Giannis who has won twice, but Giannis has the advantage of being very good defensively).

Doncic is going to win at least 2 of these awards this decade as well.

I said before the season started that Jokic will be this year's MVP.

And he is destined to win quite a few of those, as Porter Jr. becoming superstar before our eyes.

And if Nuggets will ever get rid of terrible Murray contract, they can become best team in NBA.
That's a big if though, nobody taking one of the 3 worst contracts in the NBA just like that.

Yeah...though this year it's Chris Paul, because really it's absurd that Chris Paul has never been an MVP

It only makes sense, now that basketball has caught on internationally as a sport kids grow up playing. The US population is tiny compared to the collective rest of the world.

Just like good soccer players can come from anywhere, that's where basketball is now. Shouldn't be any reason to expect Americans to continue dominating once the game has gone global.

Where are all the brothers and why are they letting this happen?

Why is Morant never mentioned

Because he's never been in the MVP conversation. This will be his first All-Star game.

The team is 12-2 in the games he missed.

Just seems like an old boys club.

Like you have to play X years to get writers to notice.

Like what’s tatum got to do to get mvp?

Shooting better and passing more might help. His TS is 10% worse than Jokic, 6% worse than Embiid.

Morant should absolute be one of the top five for MVP consideration.

Yawn.

Beezleblubber is the very definition of a nutthugger. He gets cranky because his wannabe boyfriend Lebron hasn't won it in a long time, so he declares it meaningless.

What a tool.
