A burly, not quite fat, 14 inch vertical, 46% on all 2s, great rebounding, non switching, 14 shots for 15-18 points 4/5....who could occasionally bring championship level teams to their knees and draw hard doubles even defended by Tim Duncan?

That someone you can get behind as say....your team’s second option?

I honestly don't know. I was a fan, going back to his days on the Blazers, but i don't know what parts of thst skillset work in today's NBA. To be fair, I barely watch now adays, so it could be all of it. I dunno.

He'd be playing small ball 5. He had a decent wingspan. Domantas Sabonis is getting by with his physical profile, I don't see what ZBo couldn't work his way into being a featured player.

Question is, would he be able to chuck and sink a lot of 3s on a regular basis?

Not sure about his defense in today's game

He'd have to hit the 3 at a higher % which he could hit. Probably a backup ideally

I hate that players like him always get forgotten because they werent stars but for a good stretch this dude was a top 5 pf in the league. Ill never forget him locking down a rookie blake griffin and this was when blake was just dunking on EVERYBODY. Think blake had 6 points that game,i was pissed because i had paid a lot of money for my seats just to watch him get destroyed. Smh

Midrange will always be a good basketball shot.

If I already have Lebron on my team, it’s a hard yes.

If not, it’s a hard no.

That goes for any other player as well.

He was putting up 16/10 during the Warriors first championship in 15.
His last season, he avg 15/7 for Sacramento.

He's playing on the Knicks this season and goes by the name of Julius Randle according to shaq.

He's a better scoring and rebounding Harrell. A rich man's Trez cannot be a 2nd option on any team with championship aspirations for sure.

He possibly can't even be 3rd option unless your #1 and #2 are both top 15, or you have a really well balanced roster.

He was a smarter Julius Randle, so yes.

He was terrorizing people in his last couple seasons and more than proved he could still score. Had a 3 point shot as well.

Nice player, wouldn't expect such a smooth high arcing jumper from such a violent player, but he only really fits on teams that play thug ball AKA the Jailblazers and the tough Grizz. He was a joke with the knicks I remember. And this era is too soft for him. I remember he was a guy who had to dribble lather himself into his shot so I don't think he'd be good at spot up 3s. Its impossible to win with such a 2nd option today in a league full of super teams anyway.

getting pulled over by the cops and using your basketball card as ID. What a team they had in Portland!

There's only 2 super-teams - Nets/Lakers

And there's only been 5 super-teams since 2011 - the Heat, Cavs, KD Warriors and today's Lakers/Nets

But everything is dumbed down today, so sure, the league is "full of super-teams"

In todays league Zach at his peak/prime might be good for 22+pts and 12+rebs so of course I would take him as my 2nd option
