LeBron is playing in the 3 ball era...you may notice stats are up....especially now, when were teams in the 90s scoring 150?hahahaha
There was actually defense back then too.

Now a real measure would be to compare scoring across players in the same season...like scoring champion for example...

Jordan 10.

LeBron 1.

One dismal scoring champion title.

Case closed.

Spurs m8

Honestly, when does a so called GOAT have only 1 scoring title and NO defensive player of the year.

How does Jordan have 10 scoring titles and a DPOY.

GOAT impact on both ends.

No wonder the byproduct was 6 rings, 6 fmvp without collusion.

Ps. Also didn't hand out like 5 fmvp to direct opponents...not even 1

You're a quality poster, but to be fair, you brought up scoring titles when the most impressive thing about 17 seasons of 25+ is the consistent, durable excellence. Two different things. 10 scoring titles is amazing in its own right.

Don't mean to rain on the parade but...

First of all 25 ppg isn't a GOAT scorer threshold... it's been done around 400 times in NBA history by around 100 different players. In other words it's a very low standard to compare GOAT-caliber scorers.

Secondly these kinds of records are noisy because the cutoff is arbitrary. Use 25.5 ppg as the cutoff and Lebron's lead evaporates. He's suddenly neck and neck with Jordan, Malone and West.

Lebron's didn't play enough games in 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 to qualify for the league leaders in scoring. Not sure if these seasons even count officially.

A better record to look at when looking at scoring is scoring titles. It shows the highest scorer in the league and it's also relative to competition which makes it more relevant. For instance it avoids overrating a player who's averaging 30 ppg in a league where a bunch of guys average 33+ ppg. Other metrics to consider would be playoff scoring titles and scoring efficiency.

Lebron is still a top 10 scorer of all time though. He does get sort of underrated when people don't even mention him.
