He didnt play good but he averaged 28/10/3/2/1 on 46/38/85 shooting in the playoffs before then. Carrying the Wiz to their most respectable playoff run in decades.

The Wizards were the healthiest team in the league that year and had the same group together for years. Beal averaged 23 and Porter had an ORTG of 129. Gortat averaged a double double.

In comparison Russ had a much tougher road this year:
-completely new team
-minimal training camp
-playing through a quad injury early in the season
-team crushed with injuries + covid. They missed 6 straight games due to covid and had to make up all those games leading to an extremely condensed schedule

Look at their starting lineup last night:
-Len who was cut by the Raps midseason
-Neto with the career 5.6 ppg average
-Rui 2nd year player who is just ok
-Beal playing through a damaged hamstring. If it was a midseason game he probably wouldn't play.

Ask any Wizards fan about Russ this year and you will get a very positive response. Yes he takes too many jumpers and makes some dumb turnovers but unless you actually watch the games you miss a lot of the positive things he does. There is no way the Wizards would have made their late season run with Wall instead of Russ. No chance.

You must not know Hamtaro. Like every typical player stan on here (in this case, he is a stan of 3 players), he is so insecure about KD that he generally always shits on WB to try to make all of KD's failure with OKC lie with Russ. Nothing you say will convince him because his only purpose is to put WB down so he big up KD.

You can just remind the babyboi that the only time KD didn't have an MVP in his entire career, his team got bodied in 5 games first round by a nothing team.
